TL;DR: In this paper, the surface of a diamond film with a high power density plasma was polished in a nuclear reactor with a sputter gas such as Ar, O?2? or N2 in the reactor.
Abstract: According to a first aspect of the present invention a method for polishing the surface of a diamond film with a low power density plasma in a reactor comprising the steps of disposing O2 gas and a fluorinated gas such as SF6, CF4, NF3, and C2F6 in the reactor, providing power to the reactor so that the power density in the reactor is between about 1.0 watts/cm2 and about 1.1 watts/cm2 for a first duration, and maintaining temperature in the reactor at between about 200° to about 400°. According to a second aspect of the present invention a method for polishing the surface of a diamond film with a high power density plasma in a reactor comprising the steps of disposing of a sputter gas such as Ar, O?2? or N2 in the reactor, providing power to the reactor so that the power density in the reactor is between about 3.0 watts/cm?2? and about 7.5 watts/cm2 for a first duration, and performing a sputter etch, disposing O?2? gas and a fluorinated gas such as SF6, CF4, NF3 and C2F6 in the reactor, and providing power to the reactor so that the power density in the reactor is between about 1.5 watts/cm?2? and about 3.0 watts/cm2 for a second duration.

TL;DR: In this paper, the degradation of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) by ultrasonic irradiation in the presence of ozone as functions of applied frequencies and applied power are investigated.
Abstract: The kinetics of degradation of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) by ultrasonic irradiation in the presence of ozone as functions of applied frequencies and applied power are investigated. Experiments are performed over the frequency range of 205−1078 kHz. The higher overall reaction rates are observed at 358 and 618 kHz and then at 205 and 1078 kHz. The observed pseudo-first-order rate constant, k0, for MTBE degradation increases with increasing power density up to 250 W L-1. A linear dependence of the first-order rate constant, kO3, for the simultaneous degradation of O3 on power density is also observed. Naturally occurring organic matter (NOM) is shown to have a negligible effect on observed reaction rates.

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of electrode materials based on two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures of V2O5 nanosheets and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) electrodes for asymmetric supercapacitor applications was reported.
Abstract: In this article, we report the synthesis of electrode materials based on two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures of V2O5 nanosheets (V2O5 NS) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) electrodes for asymmetric supercapacitor applications. Specifically, the 2D V2O5 and rGO/V2O5 nanosheet electrodes showed a specific capacitance of 253 F g−1 and 635 F g−1, respectively at a current density of 1 A g−1. The capacitance of the heterostructures is almost 2.5 times higher than the 2D V2O5 nanosheets alone. The corresponding energy density of 39 Wh kg−1 and 79.5 Wh kg−1 were achieved for the two electrodes at a power density of 900 W kg−1 in an asymmetric supercapacitor configuration. The energy and power density using the nanosheet heterostructure are, to our knowledge, higher than any of those that were previously reported for asymmetric supercapacitors using V2O5 electrodes.
