TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an analytical approach for allocating transmission transaction costs among users in transmission services, which allocates the transaction costs over the participants proportional to the ratio of incremental power flow caused by each participant and the total power flows on a designated transmission line.
Abstract: This paper proposes an analytical approach for allocating transmission transaction costs among users in transmission services. The proposed method allocates the transaction costs over the participants proportional to the ratio of incremental power flow caused by each participant and the total power flows on a designated transmission line. To determine the individual participant's impact on the transmission power flows, the line utilization factors (LUFs) of each participant are developed from a set of power flow equations. In the developed framework, one can directly evaluate the sensitivity of the flow on a line with respect to power generation at all buses. Although the developed allocation rule is very similar to the existing MW-mile method, especially to the modulus method, it does not require load flow analysis to be performed whenever each wheeling transaction is exercised. The main advantage of the developed method lies in its capability to consider multiple wheeling transactions simultaneously.

TL;DR: In this article, a steady state equivalent of a power system for use in real-time operation is described, which is the result of applying Dimo's REI method for the reduction of the electrical network and also for the provision of a means for on-line calibration.
Abstract: This paper describes a new steady-state equivalent of a power system for use in real-time operation. The equivalent is the result of applying Dimo's REI method for the reduction of the electrical network and also for the provision of a means for on-line calibration. Although this new equivalent is intended for application in system operation, it would also be useful in planning studies.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a new technique for load-flow calculations of integrated ac/dc systems, which is fast, efficient and reliable and is therefore an improvement over known procedures.
Abstract: The paper describes a new technique for the load-flow calculations of integrated ac/dc systems. The technique is fast, efficient and reliable and is therefore an improvement over known procedures. The representation of dc system is such that it leads to simplifications in calculations and saving in storage requirement and yet it is so ; eneral that a multi-terminal dc system of anyconfiguration and control characteristics can be easily simulated. The procedure uses fast decoupled load flow method, handles all ac/ dc equations simultaneously, and fully exploits the sparsity techniques. The paper shows application of the technique on two systems, one with a point-to-point dc transmission and the other with a 3-terminal mesh HVDC sub-system.

TL;DR: In this paper, a power conversion device, a multi-terminal power transfer device, and a power network system which allows an existing power grid to be divided into a plurality of power grids that can be interconnected together and operated stably via existing or new transmission lines.
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-terminal power conversion device, a multi-terminal power transfer device, and a power network system which allows an existing power grid to be divided into a plurality of power grids that can be interconnected together and operated stably via existing or new transmission lines. An inter-power grid asynchronous interconnection network system includes a multi-terminal power conversion device characterized by connecting together a plurality of asynchronous power grids including a bulk power grid and controlling power so that the sum of inflow power and outflow power is zero. An intra-power grid synchronous network system includes a power apparatus control terminal device with means for controlling power for a power apparatus installed in an autonomous power grid. A plurality of inter-power grid asynchronous interconnection network systems are connected to an intra-power grid synchronous network system to integrate the power control with communication control.
