TL;DR: In this paper, high-alumina fly ash from a thermal-electric plant of Shaanxi Province was used as raw material, and was treated with alkali to prepare desilicated solution, which was then carbonated to prepare precipitated silica.
Abstract: In this paper,high-alumina fly ash from a thermal-electric plant of Shaanxi Province was used as raw material, and was treated with alkali to prepare desilicated solution, which was then carbonated to prepare precipitated silicaDuring orthogonal experiments and single-factor experiments, the optimal carbonation conditions were determined as follows, under 100 r·min-1 speed stirring,500 ml·min-1 CO2 flow rate, sodium metasilicate concentration 178°Be,and at reaction temperature around 85℃,reaction time around 25 hThe white carbon black product(BTH-01)was prepared from silica gel through drying at 105℃ overnightThe product(BTH-01)satisfied the type A standard of white carbon black GB10517—89The carbonation reaction process was analyzedNuclear magnetic resonance measurement method was used to trace the processing path of silica gel, which could better describe the Si—O conjugation during different times in carbonationThe technology provides some guidance to analyzing the structure of white carbon black

TL;DR: In this article, a method for the preparation of transparent rubber reinforcing agent precipitated silica is presented. But this method is not suitable for the use of transparent materials. And it requires a high level of purity and good particle distribution.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for preparing transparent rubber reinforcing agent precipitated silica. The method comprises the following steps: by adopting soluble sodium silicate as a raw material, obtaining dilute silicate after strongly acidic cation exchange; carrying out synthetic reaction under the condition of taking ammonium hydroxide as a precipitator and OP-10 as a surfactant to obtain silica; and obtaining a transparent rubber reinforcing agent precipitated silica product by the subsequent procedures of filter pressing, washing, spray drying, fluid energy milling, grading and packaging. The transparent rubber reinforcing agent precipitated silica prepared by the method is high in purity, and good in particle distribution, and a reinforcing agent with good transparency is provided for the transparent rubber product.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of precipitated silica and an epoxidized liquid rubber (EpLHPB) was prepared and the reaction between silanols and epoxy groups was followed by DSC under isothermal conditions, at 150, 160 and 170 °C.
Abstract: The use of epoxidized rubber as compatibilizer in silica-filled rubber compounds has been proposed in literature. However, the investigation of the reaction kinetics between the epoxy groups and the hydroxyl groups at the silica surface is not yet described. It is a difficult task, mainly because of the high dilution of the system due the difficulty of incorporating high levels of silica in a matrix containing epoxidized rubbers of high molecular weight. In this work, a mixture of precipitated silica and an epoxidized liquid rubber (EpLHPB) was prepared and the reaction between silanols and epoxy groups was followed by DSC under isothermal conditions, at 150, 160 and 170 °C. An autocatalytic data treatment was applied to determine the kinetic parameters of the reaction. Furthermore, it was possible to estimate the amount of epoxy groups required for the saturation of the external surface of the silica, resulting in 5.4 epoxy groups/nm2.

TL;DR: In this article, precipitated silica was used in a cobalt boron complex-promoted adhesion system without the use of a resin to decrease hysteresis (rolling resistance) together with an improvement of some adhesion properties.
Abstract: This article is intended to examine how precipitated silica could be used in a cobalt boron complex-promoted adhesion system without the use of a resin. The objective is to decrease hysteresis (rolling resistance) together with an improvement of some adhesion properties. In a compound containing a cobalt boron complex, the partial substitution of carbon black by precipitated silica leads to an improvement in retained adhesion after salt water ageing. By choosing low specific area silicas (Zeosil 85 or Zeosil 125) in conjunction with TESPT (Si69), it is possible to obtain a steel belt insulation stock with a low hysteresis, improved tear resistance and improved retention of adhesion after heat, humidity and salt water ageing
