TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an experimental study on the creeping discharge propagating over the pressboard surface in two vegetable oils (PFAE (palm fatty acid ester) oil and CRS (crude rapeseed) oil) and commercial mineral oil under the quasi-square impulse voltage with any pulse width.
Abstract: Abstract: This paper presents an experimental study on the creeping discharge propagating over the pressboard surface in two vegetable oils (PFAE (palm fatty acid ester) oil and CRS (crude rapeseed) oil) and commercial mineral oil under the quasi-square impulse voltage with any pulse width. The pressboard impregnated with the sample oil is immersed completely into the same oil. The tungsten needle electrode is installed in the pressboard surface with and without the counter electrode to generate a creeping discharge. The other side of pressboard has the thin copper rod as a back side electrode. A comparison of the shape and stopping length of positive and negative streamers, discharge current, emitted light signal, and temporal variation and velocity of streamer propagation is reported for all different oil-pressboard interfaces. It has been shown that the behavior of creeping streamers has unique characteristics and polarity effects, and the traveling mode and propagation velocity of streamers are greatly different depending on the type of oil.

TL;DR: In this paper, a card inserting connector is provided with at least a first, second set terminal and a moveable pressboard in the containing space of the insulation seat body, which is used for the design of light and thin connector.
Abstract: The utility model relates to a card inserting connector, which is provided with at least a first, second set terminal and a moveable pressboard in the containing space of the insulation seat body. The inside of two side walls of the insulation seat body is respectively provided with a shaft hole having an upper guide port communicated in axial manner for the supporting shafts on two sides of the back section of the moveable pressboard to be positioned on the corresponding shaft hole through the guide port. The front section of the moveable pressboard and the inside of the side wall of the insulation seat body are oppositely provided with the stop mechanism to limit the position of the biggest angle for the moveable pressboard inclining upwards. The bottom end of the guide port is designed to a narrow port and connected with a guide sloping side. The width of the narrow port is smaller than the diameter of the supporting shaft of the moveable pressboard to prevent the supporting shaft separating the corresponding shaft hole, which makes the assembling structure of the moveable pressboard more simple and ensured. The utility model is used for the design of light and thin connector.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the acoustic signals for two different kinds of pressboard (new and aged) with two types of sensors (75 kHz and 150 kHz peak frequency) and simulation of Acoustic Emission (AE) signals propagation which are produced due to partial discharges inside a sample transformer tank by using Finite Element Method (FEM).
Abstract: Transformers are one of the most important and costly components of any power system. Proper monitoring of the health of a transformer is thus inevitable. Online monitoring of partial discharges (PD) is one of the ways by which the risk of catastrophic failure of a power apparatus can be reduced. Common insulation in power transformers are pressboard and oil. Unconventional PD measurement was developed for several decades ago as a form of PD detection system. In these PD measurement systems that are named unconventional method PD is analyzed by indirect features of this phenomenon, which includes electrical, acoustic, UHF, optical, and chemical methods. The main advantage of unconventional method is the ability of this method in order to decrease the amount of signal to noise ratio for on-site or on-line measurement. A study of the correlation between acoustic emission signals generated by PD and electrical PD charges is inevitable. By developing the speed of measuring devices like digital signal processor (DSP) the possibility of evaluation and calculation of acoustic signals in very short time have been increased. The aim of this paper is evaluation of acoustic signals for two different kind of pressboard (new and aged) with two types of sensors (75 kHz and 150 kHz peak frequency) and simulation of Acoustic Emission (AE) signals propagation which are produced due to PD inside a sample transformer tank by using Finite Element Method (FEM). 

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of external DC electric field on flow electrification of insulating liquids in different ducts has been studied for a long time, and a facility was designed a few years ago.
Abstract: Mineral oils are commonly used for cooling and electrical insulation purposes in electrical power transformers and other electrical apparatus. Flow electrification of insulating liquids in different ducts has been studied for a long time. The physicochemical process appearing at the solid/liquid interface creates the electrical double layer. To study this phenomenon, a facility was designed a few years ago. It consists of a closed circulation loop where oil flows through a rectangular channel and allows measuring a streaming current and the accumulated charge on the pressboard during the flow. The present work focuses on the influence of external DC electric field.
