TL;DR: In this article, a helical rack and a spiral pinion were used to produce a balancing moment of rotation. But the helical and spiral pinions were not used for the same purpose.
Abstract: A rack and pinion gearing comprising a helical rack and a spiral pinion. The rack has a structure defined by a radius, a distance from the axis to tooth crest, a helix angle, and a pressure angle determined from the viewpoint of applied kinematics so as to produce a balancing moment of rotation. The structure keeps the rack free from inclination and rocking about the axis which would otherwise result in a biting effect.

TL;DR: In this paper, a fan shaft coupling for a gas turbine engine having an increased loading capacity and a tooth geometry therefor was provided by the present invention, which comprises a tooth profile including an involute form having a thirty degree pressure angle [B] and a compound curvature root fillet.
Abstract: There is provided by the present invention a fan shaft coupling for a gas turbine engine having an increased loading capacity and a tooth geometry therefor. The tooth geometry comprises a tooth profile including an involute form having a thirty degree pressure angle [B] and a compound curvature root fillet.

TL;DR: In this article, a tooth profile design of an oval gear according to the curvature of the pitch curve is presented, where the length of thepitch oval is divided by the number of teeth and the curvatures of the divided points is obtained.
Abstract: Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Inha Technical College(Received January 2, 2012; Revised January 25, 2012; Accepted January 26, 2012)Abstract − Oval gears are typical kinds of non-circular gears and are widely used in flow meters. This paperpresents a tooth profile design of an oval gear according to the curvature of the pitch curve. The length of thepitch oval is divided by the number of teeth and the curvature of the divided points is obtained. The tooth profileis designed on the circle of the curvature as if it is the pitch circle of a gear. The teeth of the oval gear have thesame module and pressure angle, but the pitch circle of each tooth differs in size. Thus, the teeth on the dividedpoints of the pitch oval are different in shape. This type of oval gear will improve the meshing properties. Keywords − oval gears(오벌기어), non-circular gears(비원형 기어), pitch oval(피치오벌), curvature(곡률),tooth profile(치형 형상)

TL;DR: In this paper, a spline 15 with trapezodal teeth was used to unify driven plate with two sets of clutches by giving gutters of spline formed on a clutch drum, a special configuration.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To unify driven plate to be spline-engaged with two sets of clutches by giving gutters of spline formed on a clutch drum, a special configuration. CONSTITUTION: A spline 15 with trapezodal teeth which satisfy an equation such that (n-1)α=2β, where α and β are the pitch angle and pressure angle of spline teeth on the driven plate, respectively, and n is the number of unit teeth to be put in a gutter of notch spline 17, shall be formed from a sheet by a press. This press-processed object 16 obtained through the abovementioned procedure shall be fixed on the clutch drum's inside surface of the front clutch while a spline 17 with parallel teeth shall be formed on a durm of the other, reat clutch by performing punching or blanking with a breadth l equivalent to the outside dimension of teeth in the number n. Spline 15 can be generated not only with trapezoidal teeth but also with involute teeth. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
