TL;DR: The double contact gear hobbing cutter has the advantages of being simple in structure, easy to manufacture, low in cost, convenient and rapid to mount and dismount, used for processing double contact gears, simple in process and low in processing time and capable of guaranteeing the smooth connection between gradual opening line portions and transition curve portions.
Abstract: The invention relates to a double contact gear hobbing cutter. The main points include that the addendum circle radius of the gear hobbing cutter is 0 to 0.3 time of modulus; a standard pressure angle with an angle degree of 15-30 degrees is arranged on a gear surface of 0.3 to 0.8 time of gear height below the addendum; an interference amount cutting pressure angle with an angle degree of 22-37 degrees is arranged on a gear surface of 0.05 to 0.6 time of the gear height below the standard pressure angle; and an addendum chamfering pressure angle with an angle degree of 25-50 degrees is arranged on a gear surface of 0.05 to 0.3 time of the gear height below the interference amount cutting pressure angle. The double contact gear hobbing cutter has the advantages of being simple in structure, easy to manufacture, low in cost, convenient and rapid to mount and dismount, used for processing double contact gears, simple in process, low in processing time and capable of guaranteeing the smooth connection between gradual opening line portions and transition curve portions, improving processing accuracy of the double contact gears and processing efficiency and reducing processing cost.

TL;DR: In this paper, a low-cost railway vehicle gear device of parallel cardan drive system is provided in which the vibrations and noises can be reduced only by means of 2-D tooth surface modifications.
Abstract: A low-cost railway vehicle gear device of parallel cardan drive system is provided in which the vibrations and noises can be reduced only by means of 2-D tooth surface modifications. In a railway vehicle gear device of parallel cardan drive system having a helical pinion ( 1 ) and a helical gear wheel ( 2 ), a pinion and a gear wheel respectively having gear specifications of module of 4 to 8, pressure angle of 20 to 30°, and helix angle of 15 to 30°, crowning is performed on a gear surface in the flank line direction of the pinion. The tooth surface ( 11 ) has a shape of a sinusoidal curve with an apex ( 11 a ) being positioned in a central area of the face width direction of the pinion, the sinusoidal curve being expressed by a single sinusoidal function and extending over an entire width in the face width direction of the helical pinion.

TL;DR: In this paper, the rotor profiles are defined with contiguous elliptic and involute sections to improve the pressure angle, and the profiles are configured to define rotor-to-rotor sealing surfaces in closure of a compressed gas pocket in which, the pocket gas pressure always urges or torques the driven rotor in the positive or forward-rotary direction.
Abstract: The invention concerns helical- or screw-type driving and driven rotors having lands and intervening grooves for coacting engagement, within a housing of a machine, such as a gas compressor or expander, the rotors having improved, more efficient, profiles. The profiles are defined with contiguous elliptic and involute sections to improve the pressure angle, and the profiles are configured to define rotor-to-rotor sealing surfaces in closure of a compressed gas pocket in which, the pocket gas pressure always urges or torques the driven rotor in the positive or forward-rotary direction.
