Abstract: Proper meshing of Hy-Vo silent chain and sprocket is important for realizing the transmis- sion of the silent chain with more efficiency and less noise.Based on the study of the meshing theory of the Hy-Vo silent chain with the sprocket and the roll cutting machining principle of the sprocket with the hob,the proper conditions of the meshing for the Hy-Vo silent chain and the sprocket are put forward with the variable pitch characteristic of the Hy-Vo silent chain taken into consideration,and the proper meshing design method on the condition that the value of the link tooth pressure angle is unequal to the value of the sprocket tooth pressure angle is studied.Experiments show that this new design method is feasible.In addition,the design of the pitch,the sprocket tooth pressure angle and the fillet radius of the sprocket addendum circle are studied.It is crucial for guiding the design of the hob which cuts the Hy-Vo silent chain sprocket.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To keep a working communication error small regardless of mis- alignment in arranging a gear wheel. CONSTITUTION: Mis-alignment in arranging a gear wheel, that is a parallelism error and a stagger error, is converted into a pressure angle error and a spiral angle error, then a minimum crowning quantity and a tooth roundness quantity (A0) are found in such range as unbalanced contact does not generate even in a tooth face having these errors. When modification is carried out with taking account of manufacturing tolerance (diagonal area), bias modification is put into practice for a working communication error to be a same extent as modification quantity in a lower limit of tolerance (A1) with measuring an acutual modification quantity. A modification quantity is made small as to a central part of the tooth face contacting in the case of small mis-alignment.

Abstract: In a method of determining the angle of an incident flow at a stationary or moving point of measurement, especially at a point of measurement on a vehicle, the pressure of the incident flow on the surface of a sphere or of a spherical segment is measured. The resulting pressure distribution on the surface is compared with a pressure distribution associated with a defined angle of incident flow and from this the angle of incident flow is calculated, or the angle of displacement of the pressure distribution curve that is found is determined relative to a desired predetermined coordinate system, or relative to a predetermined pressure distribution curve associated with a defined incident flow angle. The determination of the incident flow angle is particularly accurate and can be achieved with minimal measurement complexity in a reliable manner.
