TL;DR: It is indicated that the derived formula of contact fatigue strength of VH-CATT cylindrical gear has high accuracy and can accurately reflect the real contact stress value of tooth surface, which is beneficial for research on tooth break reduction, pitting, wear resistance and fatigue life improvement of the VH the Cylindrical Gear.
Abstract: In order to theoretically research the tooth surface maximum contact stress of a Cylindrical Gear with Variable Hyperbolic Circular-Arc-Tooth-Trace (VH-CATT), the computing formula of maximum contact stress of VH-CATT cylindrical gear is investigated according to Hertz formula in this paper. Insufficient contact fatigue strength will lead to pitting corrosion, plastic deformation of tooth surface and other damages. Therefore, the maximum contact stress of tooth surface must be carried out. The contact stress calculation formula is particularly considering the effect of normal force, total carrying length, synthetical curvature radius, and position angle. The present work establishes analytical solutions to research the effect of different parameters for the contact stress of VH-CATT cylindrical gear incorporating elastic deformation on the tooth surface, and which have shown that the different module, transmission ratio, pressure angle, tooth width, and the cutter head radius have a crucial effect on the contact stress and contact ellipse of VH-CATT cylindrical gear along the tooth width direction. Moreover, a finite element analysis is carried out to verify the correctness of the theoretical computing formula of contact stress of VH-CATT cylindrical gear. By contrast with the theoretical calculated value and the stress value of finite element analysis, its error is very small. It is indicated that the derived formula of contact fatigue strength of VH-CATT cylindrical gear has high accuracy and can accurately reflect the real contact stress value of tooth surface, which is beneficial for research on tooth break reduction, pitting, wear resistance and fatigue life improvement of the VH-CATT cylindrical gear. The study results also have a certain reference value for the design and check calculation of the VH-CATT cylindrical gear.

TL;DR: In this paper, a recliner structure of a seat having a first bracket fixed to the seat bottom, a second bracket fixed on the seat back and connected to the first bracket so as to be relatively rotatable around the rotational center and a lock plate moving in the radial direction between the first and second brackets by operation of an operation rod was proposed.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of an abnormal noise even if a lock is released in a state that person leans on a back rest. SOLUTION: In this recliner structure of a seat having a first bracket fixed to the seat bottom, a second bracket fixed to the seat back and connected to the first bracket so as to be relatively rotatable around the rotational center and a lock plate moving in the radial direction between the first and second brackets by operation of an operation rod and having locking teeth on the tip and arranging a regulating means in the first bracket for regulating a movement except in the radial direction of the lock plate and arranging internal teeth 34 meshing with the locking teeth 46 on the tip of the lock plate in the second bracket, and in the locking teeth 46, a front inclined face of front locking teeth 461 existing in the forefront position is set at an angle by adding an extracting angle of a prescribed angle to a pressure angle.

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of the transmission of compressional elastic waves normally and obliquely through a stratified medium consisting of alternate plane parallel layers of two different fluid substances is studied.
Abstract: Previous work has been done on the problem of the transmission of compressional elastic waves normally and obliquely through a stratified medium consisting of alternate plane parallel layers of two different fluid substances. Such a structure acts as a low pass elastic wave filter, and in the case of oblique transmission the bands depend characteristically on the angle of obliquity of the wave front. The present work extends the problem to the case in which one of the substances is solid. Account must here be taken of the fact that compressional waves in the fluid layers give rise to both dilatational and shear waves in the solid layers. The result is somewhat more complicated than in the previous case but the structure still turns out to be a low pass elastic wave filter for angles of obliquity less than the critical angle. As before the transmission and reflection bands are a function of the angle. In the special case in which the thickness of the solid layers is small compared with that of the fluid la...

TL;DR: In this paper, a double internal meshing balancing type speed reducer with small tooth differences is proposed. But the number of teeth is not fixed, and the inner tooth ring is fixedly connected with the output shaft which is supported on a bearing.
Abstract: The utility model relates to a double internal meshing balancing type speed reducer with small tooth differences, which comprises an input shaft, an output shaft, a bearing and an eccentric sleeve. The utility model is characterized in that a gear wheel on the right end of a duplex gear is meshed with a fixed inner tooth ring, the numbers of teeth are the same, and the gear wheel on the left end of the duplex gear is meshed with a movable inner tooth ring, and the inner tooth ring is fixedly connected with the output shaft which is supported on a bearing, the parameter of the gear wheel which is supported on the bearing is the same with the parameter of the gear wheel on the right end of the duplex gear, and the parameter of the gear wheel which is supported on the bearing is the same with the gear wheel on the left end of the duplex gear, gear wheels on both ends of the duplex gear are connected in one body by a pintle which passes through a corresponded hole on the duplex gear, and are eccentrically and symmetrically arranged with the duplex gear, namely crossed in 180 degrees. The double internal meshing balancing type speed reducer achieves speed reduction and movement output, and can excellently solve the balancing problem and the interference problem, thereby avoiding the problems of increasing pressure angle, increasing loading and lowering efficiency which are caused by displacement.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the geometry, cinematic, forces and yields of modern toothed wheels in the form of newly synthesized relations on modern bases, which can be considered among those of the optimal dynamic synthesis of the gears.
Abstract: In today's mechanical transmissions most widely used, the gears, are spread across all industries. For this reason, their importance has become overwhelming, which is why we want to recall in this paper some important aspects regarding toothed wheels. It is the geometry, cinematic, the forces and the yields of these mechanisms, which will be presented in the work in the form of newly synthesized relations on modern bases. Another important aspect in toothed wheels is their synthesis by modern methods that avoid tooth interference during operation. To avoid the interference between teeth, we must know the minimum number of teeth of the driving wheel, in function of the pressure angle (normal on the pitch circle, alpha0), in function of the tooth inclination angle (beta) and in function of the transmission ratio (i). In optimal and high-efficiency gearing, gears require a modern design with increased coverage. These achievements can only be achieved today in the context of lowering the value of the alpha engagement angle. Through all the aspects presented, which relate to the dynamics of gears, the work can be considered among those of the optimal dynamic synthesis of the gears.
