TL;DR: In this article, a decision tool based on one of many Artificial Intelligent (AI) called Case-based Reasoning (CBR) called ECO-CBR tool is specifically use to solve a problem that facing by product designer at the early stage of product design.
Abstract: The objective of this research is to provide a decision tool based on one of many Artificial Intelligent (AI) called Case-based Reasoning (CBR). ECO-CBR tool is specifically use to solve a problem that facing by product designer at the early stage of product design. It have a capability to provide an environmental impact solution constitute of carbon footprint, energy consumption, air acidification and water eutrophication by calculate the similarity based on existing case store in the library. This solution can be revised and retained into the library. This approach will benefit product designers particularly to come up with a more sustainable product design process when they create a product with a new design in future.

TL;DR: In this article, the Quality by Design approach implemented in the drug development process is described by comparison to the intricacies of skin and cosmetic products as a framework for the manuscript, and the interrelated aspects of material selection, process controls and product specification are discussed as they relate to the targeted product profile.
Abstract: The Quality by Design approach implemented in the drug development process is described by comparison to the intricacies of skin and cosmetic products as a framework for the manuscript. The interrelated aspects of material selection, process controls and product specification are discussed as they relate to the targeted product profile. The seminar encouraged the students to look closely at the materials that constitute the skin and cosmetic products they frequently use and the intended purpose of the ingredient to achieve the desired product functionality and attributes.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for designing a product includes obtaining data records relating to one or more input variables and one/more output parameters associated with the product, and a computational model indicative of interrelationships between the one/or more input parameters and the output parameters based on the data records may be generated.
Abstract: A method for designing a product includes obtaining data records relating to one or more input variables and one or more output parameters associated with the product. One or more input parameters may be selected from the one or more input variables, and a computational model indicative of interrelationships between the one or more input parameters and the one or more output parameters based on the data records may be generated. The method further includes providing a set of constraints to the computational model representative of a compliance state for the product and using the computational model to generate statistical distributions for the one or more input parameters and the one or more output parameters, based on the set of constraints, that represent a design for the product. Any appropriate type of neural network may be used to build the computational model.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of cognitive factors on the creative abilities in the design process of experiential design has been studied based on the former study, "The Influence of Cognitive Factors on the Creative Abilities in Design".
Abstract: The primary purpose of this study was to evolve integrated design process for Experiential Design which is based on the former study, ‘The Influence of Cognitive Factors on the Creative Abilities in Design’. Experience is a transformation factor to all of the design processes, which has three phase of problem solving; Input, Process, and Output. We regard Experiential Design is a transforming process from concept to experience, and set up a model of Holistic Design Process (HDP), which consists of four domains: Four Causes, Thinking Modes, Sensory Modalities, and Creative Abilities. Revolving Sensory Modalities (SM), Creative Abilities (CA), and Thinking Modes (TM) around Product Design Specification (PDS) through a design process, Design Concepts ripen and mature into Externalization. Each component of Experiential Design (TM, SM, and CA) turns around the PDS. Here, experience is first perceived by the five senses. Then, the knowledge is formed, and the CA works for a problem solving. And TM controls all of these procedures. We regard these are a phenomenon of Experiential Design. The HDP can be helpful to develop valuable solutions and create a good experience.
