TL;DR: The author empirically illustrates how to identify penetrable market segments in terms of image-direct measurement influences and discusses the implications of this type of information in forming a realistic product positioning strategy.
Abstract: Product positioning studies for both new and established products generally involve consumers’ perception of the current product space in terms of the salient product attributes. Perceptions per br...

TL;DR: A UML-based mapping methodology for the product data models is introduced and the suggested mapping method has been applied to exchange the product structure data between a CAD system and a PDM system.
Abstract: The product data exchange between heterogeneous CAD and PDM systems is a crucial issue for the integration of product development systems. STEP offers an efficient mechanism of product data exchange between heterogeneous systems. This paper introduces a UML-based mapping methodology for the product data models. The suggested mapping method has been applied to exchange the product structure data between a CAD system and a PDM system. Based on the STEP methods, we developed an interface module.

01 Jan 1965TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that f is isotopic to a product of homeomorphisms of two basic types, the c -homeomorphism, which will now be called a twist, and the Y -homomorphism (see (2) for definitions).
Abstract: The purpose of this note is to answer a question asked in an earlier paper ((2), page 315). Let X be a closed, connected, non-orientable 2-manifold and f : X → X a homeomorphism. It was shown in (2) that f is isotopic to a product of homeomorphisms of two basic types, the c -homeomorphism, which will now be called a twist , and the Y -homeomorphism (see (2) for definitions). It was also proved that f cannot, in general, be expressed as a product of twists alone. The following result is proved here:

23 Sep 2002TL;DR: In this paper, a plurality of product attributes associated with the product type is provided, and a sampled set of consumer values is received, and at least one user preference corresponding to the product attributes is received.
Abstract: The invention provides a method of generating a recommendation for a product type. A plurality of product attributes associated with the product type is provided. A sampled set of consumer values is received. At least one user preference corresponding to the product attributes is received. A plurality of consumer values based on the at least one user preference and the sample set of consumer values is calculated, and at least one product recommendation is determined based on the calculated consumer values.
