TL;DR: A two-way dynamic interactive mapping model based three-layer four-pipeline service-driven organization architecture for evaluating performance of large engineering project clusters and it is argued that this architecture is comprehensive and effective from its empirically application to five large Engineering project clusters.
Abstract: This Managing and evaluating large engineering project clusters, especially those collaborating multiple heterogeneous functional units or subcontractors, represents one of the biggest challenges in Project Management, Operation and Service science. To effectively manage and evaluate the performance during the project life cycle, managers need to have clear project architecture of functional units and comprehensive evaluation architecture. Here we introduce a two-way dynamic interactive mapping model based three-layer four-pipeline service-driven organization architecture for evaluating performance of large engineering project clusters. We had developed it from our practical applications. We argue that our architecture is comprehensive and effective from our empirically application to five large engineering project clusters.

TL;DR: It can be known that the research result would be a confirmatory evidence for project managers to forecast project morbidity, making project plan and optimizing project resources, as well as controlling whole project in macro-angle.
Abstract: In order to open out the distribution rule of morbidity phenomena in engineering project, 571 project managers in 33 construction companies have been investigated and visited for obtaining a large amount of information of morbidity phenomena. According to the information, all kinds of morbidity phenomena and their frequencies are summed up, their primary and secondary relationships and distribution rules in every stage are described by means of statistics; and then, their characteristics together with investigation results are explained. Third, morbidity phenomena's total distribution in engineering project and its mathematic characteristic are analyzed according to sub-sample capacitances of all morbidity phenomena in four stages. It can be known that the research result would be a confirmatory evidence for project managers to forecast project morbidity, making project plan and optimizing project resources, as well as controlling whole project in macro-angle.

TL;DR: The JORN Engineering Process Model (JEPM) as mentioned in this paper is a hierarchical process model that hierarchically decomposes all project engineering tasks into smaller process descriptions, which are then used to identify required work, and entry/exit criteria, for each process.
Abstract: Use of the JORN Engineering Process Model (JEPM) improves work process effectiveness throughout the JORN (Jindalee Operational Radar Network) Project. A set of integrated courses introduce the JEPM to staff. Subsequent process examination provides more than simplistic (and short-term) process improvement. Education in the JEPM is aimed at quickly building an effective, productive engineering culture. The JEPM is utilised to understand processes and interrelationships. Effective processes can then be established, which implement project plans in a synergistic manner. Efficiency in work processes can then be raised, but only with an effective process. The JEPM is composed of four layers, which hierarchically decompose all project engineering tasks into smaller “process descriptions”. These identify required work, and entry/exit criteria, for each process. The JEPM creates a large integrated workflow diagram which could be used to monitor process effectiveness and generate performance metrics. This management tool enhances visibility of existing plans, and establishes context for plans & procedures. From a Systems Engineering viewpoint, this provides more effective direction, understanding of process interaction, and greater control over outcomes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe methods they have used to improve proposal resumes and conclude that following the suggestions outlined will help one prepare graphic or written resumes that are more effective at helping to obtain jobs for one's firm simply because they are more interesting to look at and easier to read than the standard model.
Abstract: To win government contracts, proposals must fully describe project team members' directly related experience, while highlighting their most important qualifications. Resumes are generally used for this purpose, but most resumes are boring. The authors describe methods they have used to improve proposal resumes. It is concluded that following the suggestions outlined will help one prepare graphic or written resumes that are more effective at helping to obtain jobs for one's firm simply because they are more interesting to look at and easier to read than the standard model. >

TL;DR: Experiences gained in the development of the AEP (American Electric Power) control center project are described in this article, where some basic design features and procedures used are discussed, and the online performance of the system is commented on.
Abstract: Experiences gained in the development of the AEP (American Electric Power) control center project are described. This was a long and complex project in which deviations from original plans frequently occurred and which therefore required the ability to find solutions to keep the project on schedule. Some of the basic design features and procedures used are discussed, and the online performance of the system is commented on. >
