28 Mar 1993TL;DR: The tuning method is presented for a two-input, two-output process to restrict the size of the rule base and the result is a controller which has a proportional and integral mode.
Abstract: A systematic method tuning for a multivariable fuzzy logic controller (MFLC) for unknown, stable processes is proposed. The tuning is based on the steady-state gain and approximate knowledge of the time constants and the delays of the process. These can be calculated from open-loop step responses. The result is a controller which has a proportional and integral mode. The tuning method is presented for a two-input, two-output process to restrict the size of the rule base. Two simulation examples illustrate the tuning procedure. >

15 Jun 2010TL;DR: In this paper, a self-tuning proportional plus integral (PI) controller is proposed for current control in a permanent magnet synchronous motor system (PMSM) based on the Lyapunov stability theorem, the selftuning laws are derived and the coefficients of the PI controllers can be suitably adjusted to deal with uncertainties and external disturbances.
Abstract: In this paper, a self-tuning proportional plus integral (PI) controller is proposed for current control in a permanent magnet synchronous motor system (PMSM). Based on the Lyapunov stability theorem, the self-tuning laws are derived and the coefficients of the PI controllers can be suitably adjusted to deal with uncertainties and external disturbances. Thus, the on-line tuned coefficients can force the tracking error to approach zero. The system robustness, as well as stability is proven. In addition, the proposed self-tuning laws are very simple and can be effectively implemented. Numerical simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

Abstract: A hydraulic control system of an eight-speed automatic transmission includes a first clutch/second clutch control portion controlled by a first proportional control solenoid valve and selectively supplying hydraulic pressure of a first pressure control valve to the first clutch or the second clutch; a third clutch control portion controlled by a second proportional control solenoid valve and supplying hydraulic pressure of a second pressure control valve to the third clutch; a fourth clutch/first brake control portion controlled by a third proportional control solenoid valve and selectively supplying hydraulic pressure of a third pressure control valve to the fourth clutch or the first brake, the fourth clutch/first brake control portion supplying reverse range pressure to the first brake at the reverse speed; and a second brake control portion controlled by a fourth proportional control solenoid valve and directly supplying hydraulic pressure of a fourth pressure control valve to the second brake.

TL;DR: In this paper, a proportional controller with additional first order low pass filter disturbance observer is proposed for grid connected doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind energy conversion systems.
Abstract: This paper presents a novel current control methodology for grid connected doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind energy conversion systems. Controller is based on a proportional controller with additional first order low pass filter disturbance observer which estimates the parameter dependent nonlinear feed-forward terms. The results in simulations and experimental test bed obviously demonstrate that decoupled control of active and reactive power is achieved without the necessity of additional machine parameter.
