Abstract: A motor speed controller with high speed response characteristics. The controller comprises a proportional operating means, a means (1) which controls the angular velocity of a motor, an equivalent rigid body model (21) modelled in a primary delay system where the viscosity friction is handled as the time constant, a first compensating means (231) which carries out proportional operation, a second compensating means (232) which carries out integration, a means by which a motor torque signal outputted from the speed control means, the output of the first compensating means and the output of the second compensating means are added, and the sum is inputted to the equivalent rigid body model (21), and the differential signal between the speed signal of the speed control means and the output of the equivalent rigid body model is inputted to the first and second compensating means, and a means for defining the proportional gain of the first compensating means as the product of a first gain κS and a second gain φS, the proportional gain of the second compensating means as the square of the second gain, and the second gain φS as the product of the proportional gain (KV) of the proportional operating means and a preset band setting coefficient (α). The output of the equivalent rigid body model is fed back to the speed control means (1) as a measured speed.

Abstract: An effective design method of a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller is proposed. The PID parameters of the PID controller are designed on the basis of a generalized predictive control (GPC) law. The PID controller has a time-varying proportional gain, and the PID parameters are designed using the future reference trajectory of the GPC. Finally, numerical examples are shown for illustrating the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2006 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Abstract: This paper deals with the application of the selective harmonic elimination technique of a closed-loop control scheme of single-phase PWM inverter employing proportional resonant controller. Selective harmonics elimination (SHE) technique is used to eliminate low order harmonics with relatively low inverter switching frequency. The major challenge which faces this technique is solving large numbers of nonlinear transcendental equations at each modulation index to generate the power inverter switching patterns. Proportional resonant controller is employed to reduce both magnitude and phase errors of the load voltage. Simulation of the proposed system is reported. The simulation results show that this system is capable of producing load voltage with low total harmonic distortion (THD).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an elevatable cylinder proportional control circuit of which the main valves to let flow large volume are reduced, the space containing pipings is reduced, and expensive proportional valves and constant current control amplifiers of very high cost for controlling the proportional valves are reduced. CONSTITUTION:A load sensitive type pressure control valve 9, a main valve 8, and a pilot check valve 7 are connected between a pump 1 and a single acting cylinder 4, and the main valve 8 is provided with a control chamber 28 to change over a main valve spool from the position shown in the figure on which a pump port P is closed by push of a spring 32 at no input current so as to communicate a main line 19 to a tank 12, to the right position in the figure on which the main line 19 is communicated to the pump port P against the spring 32. The control chamber 28 is provided with a proportional pressure control valve 10 with which the pump pressure and the pilot line 18 pressure are introduced to its pressure port 22 through a shuttle valve 16, pressure oil in proportion to the quantity of input current is generated, and fed to the main valve through a proportional pressure line 20.
