TL;DR: Christie as discussed by the authors provides three tests to facilitate formal inferences in survey papers that examine related empirical studies, and these tests reinforce the view that accounting technique choice is related to variables that may proxy for contracting and monitoring costs in the market and political processes.

TL;DR: In this paper , a systematic literature review of voluntary labour turnover is presented, providing an in-depth analysis of 1375 labour turnover studies published up to July 2019 in 142 academic journals listed in the Chartered Association of Business Schools Academic Journal Guide 2018.
Abstract: Labour turnover has been an important research topic in social science over the past century, involving disciplines such as human resource management, industrial relations, organizational behaviour, individual and organizational psychology, economics and health sciences. This paper presents a systematic literature review of voluntary labour turnover, providing an in-depth analysis of 1375 labour turnover studies published up to July 2019 in 142 academic journals listed in the Chartered Association of Business Schools Academic Journal Guide 2018. The analysis of theoretical and empirical labour turnover studies reveals: (1) distinctive foci in the development of labour turnover research over the past hundred years; (2) relative lack of attention to testing specific labour turnover theories; (3) a prevailing quantitative approach to identifying antecedents of labour turnover; (4) increased reliance on turnover intention as a proxy for actual turnover. This paper highlights these trends over time, providing insight into problematic areas from theoretical, methodological and empirical points of view. We suggest avenues for a more productive route to coherent theoretical, methodological and empirical development of labour turnover research.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examine how proxy advisors affect the quality of corporate decision-making and evaluate several existing proposals on regulating proxy advisors and show that some suggested policies, such as reducing proxy advisors' market power or increasing the transparency of their methodologies, can have a negative effect.
Abstract: Proxy advisors play an important role by providing investors with research and recommendations on how to vote their shares. This paper examines how proxy advisors affect the quality of corporate decision-making. We analyze a model in which a monopolistic advisor offers to sell information to shareholders, who decide whether to acquire private information and/or buy the advisor's recommendation, and how to cast their votes. We show that the proxy advisor's presence can decrease the quality of decision-making, even if its information is more precise than shareholders' information and no party has a conflict of interest. This is because there is a wedge between privately optimal and socially optimal information acquisition decisions, leading to inefficient crowding out of private information production. We also evaluate several existing proposals on regulating proxy advisors and show that some suggested policies, such as reducing proxy advisors' market power or increasing the transparency of their methodologies, can have a negative effect.

TL;DR: In this paper, transaction delegation systems and methods that allow a delegator to select any user to act as a proxy on that manager's behalf with respect to certain transactions are presented.
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide transaction delegation systems and methods that allow a delegator to select any user to act as a proxy on that manager's behalf with respect to certain transactions. In embodiments, a manager is able to select different users to manage different transactions. A user can accept a proxy request and obtain the necessary security access when the delegation is active. Thus, the proxy user is able to approve and/or initiate the selected transactions even if the security for those transactions is higher than what the proxy user would normally have. In embodiments, an administrator is able to configure the delegations and can ensure that the delegated authority is revoked when the delegated authority expires.
