TL;DR: In this paper, a serial number for a first customer and an association between the serial number and an account of the first customer is stored and the consolidated encrypted serial number with checkable data may be encrypted to generate proxy account data.
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to methods for generating proxy account data for a financial account and authorizing payment from an account of a customer based on proxy account data. Example methods may comprise selecting a serial number for a first customer and storing an association between the serial number and an account of the first customer. The methods may further comprise encrypting the serial number and consolidating the encrypted serial number with checkable data. An association between the encrypted serial number and the checkable data may be stored and the consolidated encrypted serial number and checkable data may be encrypted to generate proxy account data.

TL;DR: In this paper, an entity is abstracted through implementation of a proxy object of the present invention, including functions for a software application to programmatically interact with the entity at runtime, as well as optional compile and design time implementation classes to support the development and customization of declarative proxy object definitions.
Abstract: An entity is abstracted through implementation of a proxy object of the present invention, including functions for a software application to programmatically interact with the entity at runtime, as well as optional compile and design time implementation classes to support the development and customization of declarative proxy object definitions. In one embodiment, builder and resource interfaces are provided to assist in the creation of the implementation classes. In one embodiment, an extension interface is also provided to facilitate extension of an implementation of the proxy object. Software applications including programmatic usage of proxy object functions are compiled into object codes with proxy objects and meta data files. The compiled object codes are executed using a runtime engine, which includes proxy context objects to facilitate interaction on an instance basis, and an asynchronous event router to route asynchronous events for the entity.

TL;DR: It is generally agreed that patients are the best raters of their quality of life (QL) where it is not possible to obtain information from the patient the use of proxies can be an alternative; the proxy can be a significant other or a healthcare provider.
Abstract: It is generally agreed that patients are the best raters of their quality of life (QL). Where it is not possible to obtain information from the patient the use of proxies can be an alternative. The proxy can be a significant other or a healthcare provider. The use of a proxy offers a solution to non-response. The accuracy of proxy reports is most typically determined by examining the extent to which patient and proxy ratings agree. A literature overview shows that agreement depends on several factors. Methodological limitations may have an impact on agreement. Agreement also varies according to the QL domains under study; the highest agreement is usually found for concrete domains. In addition, patient and proxy characteristics are related to agreement. When designing QL studies the threat of selection bias due to exclusion of patients has to be balanced against the threat of information bias due to proxy ratings.

TL;DR: The study provides initial calibrations of the PROMIS® parent proxy-report item banks and the creation of the new PROMis® Parent Proxy Report Scales.
Abstract: Objective The objective of the present study is to describe the item response theory (IRT) analysis of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS®) pediatric parent proxy-report item banks and the measurement properties of the new PROMIS® Parent Proxy Report Scales for ages 8–17 years.

TL;DR: In this paper, a distributed network communication system implements a series of token exchange transactions similar to those used when passing browser cookies between an Internet server and a browser client, but instead of instigating a cookie exchange transaction from the Internet server to store information relevant to the server, according to this aspect of the present invention the proxy cookie is stored on the client side at the behest of the web proxy.
Abstract: A distributed network communication system implements a series of token exchange transactions similar to those used when passing browser cookies between an Internet server and a browser client. Rather than instigating a cookie exchange transaction from the Internet server to store information relevant to the server, according to this aspect of the present invention the proxy cookie is stored on the client side at the behest of the web proxy (20). To the browser client (10), the proxy cookie appears to be identical to any regular browser cookie; however, whenever the browser client (10) presents a request for information to the proxy (20) which is to be passed on to the Internet server (30), the proxy (20) strips the proxy cookie from the request and uses it to identify the originator of the request. Based on this, the proxy (20) can customize and personalize the client's information request as appropriate and pass it on to the Internet server (30).
