TL;DR: In this article, a tubular stabilizer is inserted into a power transmission chain to restrict the movement of the string portion of a power transmitting chain, such that the amount of string vibration that can be larger than or equal to a predetermined amount is restricted by a restricting device.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device which has improved noise characteristics by changing a frequency of sound caused by string vibrations while reducing the string vibrations, and which has improved assemblability to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: A tubular stabilizer 6, into which a string portion of a power transmitting chain 4 is inserted so as to be movable relative to the stabilizer and which thus restricts the movement of the power transmitting chain 4, is arranged between a primary pulley 2 and a secondary pulley 3. While the stabilizer 6 is supported by the power transmitting chain 4 so as to be movable in the traveling direction of the power transmitting chain 4 in accordance with its movement in the traveling direction, a movement of the stabilizer of which the amount is larger than or equal to a predetermined amount is restricted by a restricting device 7. TL;DR: In this article, a portable belt grinder with a casing, a drive pulley supported in the casing, an endless belt trained about the pulleys and a belt tensioning assembly having a roller eccentrically mounted on a manually rotatable rod was described.
Abstract: A portable belt grinder having a casing, a drive pulley supported in the casing, a contact pulley mounted on an arm extending from the casing, an endless belt trained about the pulleys and a belt tensioning assembly having a roller eccentrically mounted on a manually rotatable rod, a camming surfaced plunger coacting with the roller and a spring interposed between the arm and the plunger. A cover is pivotally mounted on the casing having an aperture which coacts with a latching button rotatably fixed to the casing and having a vertical axis slightly spaced from the vertical axis of the aperture.

TL;DR: In this paper, the root portion of the pin is broken to separate the discharge disc from the pulley, thereby interrupting rotation transmission from a pulley to a discharge disc, and a rubber damper is installed between the inner surface of the axial space and the pin.
Abstract: A torque limiting mechanism includes an axial space formed in a cylindrical wall of a pulley, and a pin protruding and extending from a back surface of a discharge disc. The pin is inserted into the axial space, and a rubber damper is installed between the inner surface of the axial space and the pin. When torque difference between the pulley and the discharge disc exceeds a threshold, a root portion of the pin is broken to separate the discharge disc from the pulley, thereby interrupting rotation transmission from the pulley to the discharge disc.

TL;DR: In this article, a vibration damper assembly is designed to dampen torsional, bending, and transitional vibrations transmitted from the output shaft through the poly-V belt and engine frame to the belt tensioner.
Abstract: A vibration damper assembly operatively connecting a driving pulley with an automotive engine output shaft which drives a serpentine belt system with an automatic belt tensioner. The vibration damper assembly serves to dampen torsional, bending, and transitional vibrations transmitted from the output shaft through the poly-V belt and engine frame to the belt tensioner. The vibration damper assembly comprises a mounting element, fixed to the output shaft, in torsional transmitting relation therewith, bearing means operatively disposed between the driving pulley and the mounting element to restrict relative movement therebetween to torsional relative movement, and a resilient member operatively connected between the driving pulley and the mounting element in resilient torsional transmitting relation therebetween.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an approach for applying an optimum tensioning force to an endless belt or the like, including a first pivot axis, a belt engaging pulley eccentrically supported by a torsional biasing spring for urging the belt-engaging pulley into belt-tensioning engagement with the belt and for automatically maintaining the tension force applied to belt.
Abstract: Apparatus for applying an optimum tensioning force to an endless belt or the like, including a first pivot axis, a belt engaging pulley eccentrically supported for rotation about a second axis displaced from the first pivot axis, a torsional biasing spring for urging the belt-engaging pulley into belt-tensioning engagement with the belt and for automatically maintaining the tension force applied to belt. The torsion spring is disposed about the first axis within the eccentric pulley, which includes further springs for releaseably gripping the pivot to adjustably limit the applied tensioning force in a first direction and in a second direction, whereby the tension in the belt is optimally maintained throughout the engine operating temperature cycle.
