TL;DR: In this paper, a ball-tip guide probe is used to find the edge of the pulley and then a cutting blade is deployed by pushing and holding a blade deployment switch.
Abstract: A device and method for minimally invasive tendon sheath release. The device and method that enables a surgeon to cut (“open”) a pulley that is obstructing a nodule and keeping a tendon from sliding smoothly. A ball tipped guide probe goes through a small incision and is used to find the edge of the pulley. Once found, the probe is guided to an end of the pulley. After proper position is assured, a cutting blade is deployed by pushing and holding a blade deployment switch. This deploys the sharp end of a retractable cutting shaft beyond the sheath. The entire device is then pushed or pulled using the device handle along the pulley until the pulley is completely released or where resistance is no longer felt. In an alternate embodiment, the cutting blade is static.

TL;DR: In this article, a pulley sheave inner face profile for a variable pulley of a continuously variable transmission allowing the crowned face chain-belt centerline to remain in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pulleys at all times and at all drive ratios is presented.
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for generating same provides a pulley sheave inner face profile for a variable pulley of a continuously variable transmission allowing the crowned face chain-belt centerline to remain in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pulleys at all times and at all drive ratios. Given a primary pulley sheave inner face profile, a corresponding secondary pulley sheave inner face profile can be developed to achieve substantially perfect belt alignment. The pulley sheave inner face profiles may be designed to be identical or congruent. Congruent pulley sheave inner face profiles can be developed according to an algebraic solution allowing numerically controlled design and manufacturing techniques in the fabrication of the sheave inner faces.

TL;DR: In this paper, a cable-grasped driving pulley mechanism is described, which consists of two driving pulleys, each provided with one part of a cable groove, which groove has a relatively high output transmission capacity.
Abstract: The mechanism comprises at least one driving pulley comprising of two parts which are each provided with one part of a cable groove, which groove has a relatively great output transmission capacity. The parts are pressed toward each other by pressing devices, which comprise spiral springs or leaf springs which rest on and are coupled for rotation with the driving pulley parts. Each driving pulley may cooperate with another (identical or conventional) driving pulley which rotates at the same speed, e.g., by means of two gears mounted on the peripheral edges of the driving pulleys.

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved internal combustion engine having a crankshaft, an accessory, a motor/generator, and a belt-drive system is described. But the engine is not shown in the video.
Abstract: The invention is an improved internal combustion engine having a crankshaft, an accessory, a motor/generator, and a belt-drive system. The belt drive systems includes a crankshaft pulley, an accessory pulley, a motor/generator pulley, a belt tensioner, a belt tensioner pulley, and a power transmission belt trained about the crankshaft pulley, the accessory pulley, the motor/generator pulley, and the belt tensioner pulley. The belt tensioner pulley contacts the belt at a start-slack-side span. It is improved by the tensioner being asymmetrically biased in a direction tending to cause the power transmission belt to be under tension.

TL;DR: A stretching device for stretching and strengthening the muscles of the lower back and legs of the user can be found in this article, where a user inserts their leg into the sling and raises and lowers the sling causing muscles in the legs and back to stretch.
Abstract: A stretching device for stretching and strengthening the muscles of the lower back and legs of the user. The stretching device generally includes an attachment bracket, pull cord and pulley. The attachment bracket attaches to the top of a door frame and the pull cord and pulley are attached to the attachment bracket. The pull cord engages the pulley so that a sling is formed on one side of the pulley. A user inserts their leg into the sling and raises and lowers the sling causing muscles in the legs and back to stretch. Several stretching routines are possible which isolate and target certain muscle groups.
