TL;DR: In this paper, an eccentric planet gear carrier is attached to the rotor of an electric motor whose stator is fixed in the housing (34), which will cause relative movement between the camshaft gear (5) and the motor.
Abstract: The camshaft (3) is driven (e.g. by belt or pulley) from a crankshaft through gear wheel (5) coupled to an extension (2). This acts as the ring gear of a planetary-type gearbox with an intermediary gear attached to the camshaft by bolt (20). An eccentric planet gear carrier (17) is fixed to the rotor (21) of an electric motor whose stator (22) is fixed in the housing (34). Excitation of the motor will cause relative movement between the camshaft gear (5) and the camshaft (3). ADVANTAGE - Exact positioning, no slip rings, min. friction loss. Minimises fuel consumption.

TL;DR: In this paper, a V-belt continuously variable transmission with a drive pulley having a speed responsive mechanism and a driven pulley with a torque responsive mechanism is described, where a spring cap is mounted on a sleeve to which a fixed pulley half or sheave is affixed.
Abstract: A V-belt continuously variable transmission in which a V-belt is made to run on a drive pulley having a speed responsive mechanism and a driven pulley having a torque responsive mechanism. The torque responsive mechanism of the driven pulley includes a spring cap slidably mounted on a sleeve to which a fixed pulley half or sheave is affixed. The spring cap has a plurality of studs passing through openings formed through the fixed pulley sheave and connected to a movable pulley sheave slidingly mounted on the sleeve. Formed on opposed faces of the fixed pulley sheave and the spring cap are plural arcuate ramps, each including grooves into which balls are inserted to provide rolling contact and reduced friction between the opposed ramps.

TL;DR: In this paper, the rotary closure is constructed for a relatively large adjustment of length and on the other hand is secured against overstreching of the traction cable by two rotatable stop arms which enable up to almost three turns of the cable pulley between extreme positions.
Abstract: Separable parts of a sports shoe are movable toward and away from one another by means of a traction cable which can be wound on and off a cable pulley which is rotatably mounted in a housing, has an engaging projection, and cooperates with a stationary stop and with a stop construction which is rotatably mounted coaxially with the pulley. The stop construction has two rotatable stop arms which enable up to almost three turns of the cable pulley between extreme positions. In this way the rotary closure is on the one hand constructed for a relatively large adjustment of length and on the other hand is secured against overstreching of the traction cable.

TL;DR: In this article, an alternator assembly comprising a housing and an armature assembly is mounted in the housing for rotation about the armature axis, and a coil spring is disposed in operative relation between the alternator pulley and the hub structure.
Abstract: A serpentine belt drive system for an automotive vehicle in which the sequence of driven assemblies includes an alternator assembly comprising a housing and an armature assembly mounted in the housing for rotation about an armature axis. A hub structure is carried by the armature assembly outwardly of the housing for rotation therewith about the armature axis. A coil spring is disposed in operative relation between the alternator pulley and the hub structure for transmitting the driven rotational movements of the alternator pulley by the serpentine belt to the hub structure such that the armature assembly is rotated in the same direction as the alternator pulley while being capable of instantaneous relative resilient rotational movements in opposite directions with respect to the alternator pulley during the driven rotational movement thereof.
