TL;DR: In this article, a rigging structure for a compound archery bow includes first and second pulley assemblies, pivotally mounted on axles at the tips of corresponding first-and second-legs of a compound bow and interconnected by cables.
Abstract: A rigging structure for a compound archery bow includes first and second pulley assemblies, pivotally mounted on axles at tips of corresponding first and second limbs of a compound bow and interconnected by cables. Each pulley assembly includes a dynamic synchronizing component, and the rigging preferably also includes means for avoiding the usual leaning moment imposed upon the pulley assemblies by the cables of conventional riggings.

TL;DR: An X-Y drive apparatus suitable for use in positioning an electronic component or the like at a desired position, such as a mounting position of a printed circuit board, is provided in this article.
Abstract: An X-Y drive apparatus suitable for use in positioning an electronic component or the like at a desired position, such as a mounting position of a printed circuit board, is provided. Each of X and Y table units includes an elongated housing provided with a pair of stationary pulleys at its opposite ends and a table provided with a pair of moving pulleys. A pair of brackets is also mounted on the housing, each located between one of the stationary pulleys and a corresponding one of the moving pulleys. A belt, having its one end fixedly attached to one of the brackets, extends first around one of the moving pulleys, then around each of the stationary pulleys, and then around the remaining moving pulleys with its remaining end fixedly attached to the remaining bracket.

TL;DR: In this article, a desired value in the engine revolution speed is obtained using a predetermined function for any value in a parameter indicative of an output of the engine output, and the reduction ratio is controlled in such a manner as to maintain the revolution speed of the drive pulley in a predetermined relationship with the desired value.
Abstract: Revolution speed of a drive pulley and a parameter indicative of an output of the engine are detected. A desired value in the engine revolution speed is obtained using a predetermined function for any value in the parameter indicative of the engine output. The reduction ratio is controlled in such a manner as to maintain the revolution speed of the drive pulley in a predetermined relationship with the desired value in the engine revolution speed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved power transmission belt which has a relatively thick rubber backing layer for improved interface with associated pulleys and improved wear resistance is described. But the belt also has an aramid, glass, or other high modulus relatively inextensible cord secured by a layer of fabric (21, 32, 42, 52).
Abstract: This invention provides an improved power transmission belt which has a relatively thick rubber backing layer (19) for improved interface with associated pulleys and improved wear resistance. The belt also has an aramid, glass, or other high modulus relatively inextensible cord (18) secured by a layer of fabric (21, 32, 42, 52).

TL;DR: The results support the suggestion that release of the entire A2 pulley together with the adjacent C1 pulley does not clinically affect finger motion or cause tendon bowstringing, provided that the other pulleys are left intact.
Abstract: We report the results of complete release of the entire A2 pulley after zone 2C flexor tendon repair followed by early postoperative active mobilization in seven fingers and their comparisons with 33 fingers with partial A2 pulley release. In seven fingers, release of the entire A2 pulley was necessary to allow free gliding of the repairs in five fingers and complete release of both the A2 and C1 pulleys was necessary in two. No bowstringing was clinically evident in any finger. Two fingers required tenolysis. Using Tang’s criteria, the function of two digits was ranked as excellent, four good and one fair; there was no failure. The functional return in these seven fingers was similar with that in 33 fingers with partial A2 pulley release; in these patients only one finger required tenolysis. Our results support the suggestion that release of the entire A2 pulley together with the adjacent C1 pulley does not clinically affect finger motion or cause tendon bowstringing, provided that the other pulleys are ...
