TL;DR: In this article, a pulling device for a roll shaft for roller blinds or screens comprises a housing, a chain pulley situated in the housing and a chain slung around the pulley.
Abstract: A pulling device for a roll shaft for roller blinds or screens comprises a housing, a chain pulley situated in the housing and a chain slung around the pulley. The chain is formed by a cord with a number of beads distributed at regular interval along the length. The pulley is provided with a central channel and a series of notches at the periphery to receive the cord portion and the beads of the chain, respectively. The chain is readily pulled to drive the pulley and, in turn, the roller shaft, to wind up or to unwind a roller blind or screen. When the pulling force is released the pulley will be automatically braked by means of the chain itself by the gravity of the roller blind or screen.

TL;DR: In this article, a three-point hitch assembly that attaches to the front end of a truck or pickup and supports at three points a plurality of implements or tools is described. But it does not specify how to attach the tools to the hitch.
Abstract: An inventive three-point hitch assembly that attaches to the front end of a truck or pickup and supports at three points a plurality of implements or tools. It has a belt-driven power take-off for rotary tools that is controlled by an electric clutch and driven by a pulley attached below the truck engine pulley. A hydraulic lift cylinder raises and lowers the hitch and implement or tool, which by the hitch parallelogram form maintains the implements in a vertical orientation. The lift cylinder hydraulic pressure is supplied by connections to the truck power steering system via electrically controlled solenoid valves.

TL;DR: In this paper, a robot with a base, a first link connected to the base by a shoulder joint, and a second link connected with the first link by an elbow joint is described.
Abstract: A robot with a base, a first link connected to the base by a shoulder joint, and a second link connected to the first link by an elbow joint. A shoulder motor drives the shoulder joint, and an elbow motor drives the elbow joint. An upper elbow pulley is coupled to the first link. An end effector pulley coupled to the upper elbow pulley, and a dual-bladed end effector driven by the end effector pulley. The diameter of the upper elbow pulley and the diameter of the end effector pulley are related by a 1:2 ratio. Ferro-fluid seals are used to seal each joint. A static seal joins the seams of the links. Each arm link has a particle filter. The robot can communicate electrical signals through the revolute joints with a conductive slip-ring assembly. Alternately, the joint may have an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, and a cable may be coiled between the cylinders.

TL;DR: In this paper, a biomimetic mechanical joint for generating a variable torque between support members of a biomIMetic robotic device, including a base support member, a rotary support member and a variable-radius pulley, is presented.
Abstract: A biomimetic mechanical joint for generating a variable torque between support members of a biomimetic robotic device, including a base support member, a rotary support member rotatably coupled to the base support member, and a variable-radius pulley operably coupled between the base support member and rotary support member. The variable-radius pulley comprises a sheave body having a variable radius and one or more tendon grooves formed in the circumferential outer surface. The mechanical joint further includes one or more flexible tendons and antagonistic actuator pairs, with each actuator pair being coupled to one or more tendons and configured to operate the tendon around the variable-radius pulley in either direction to create a variable torque between the base and rotary support members.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a treadmill exercising apparatus comprising a generally planar frame equipped with a planar slider bed and head and tail rollers, over which an endless nylon belt is trained.
Abstract: A treadmill exercising apparatus comprising a generally planar frame equipped with a planar slider bed and head and tail rollers journalled respectively at the head and tail ends of the frame, over which an endless nylon belt is trained. The treadmill frame at its head end is equipped with a cross member that pivotally mounts a motor assembly including an electric drive motor and shaft driven by same that is keyed to a stepping pulley aligned with a stepping pulley keyed to the head roller, and between which a drive pulley belt is tensioned by a tensioning device that subjects the motor assembly to uniform spring biasing action about the pivotal mounting of the motor assembly for uniformly tensioning the pulley belt into drive transmitting relation with the respective pulleys, and with the motor assembly including a hand crank arrangement for manually relieving the pulley belt tension for changing of the pulley belt with respect to the stepping pulleys for convenient speed changing of the treadmill belt.
