Abstract: An electric model for electrolysis cells used in copper electrowinning processes is developed. It is applied to the analysis of cells, using series configurations of bipolar floating electrodes. This technology has been used in several fields of electrochemistry, but has not yet been applied by the copper industry. Its main advantage is that, for the same copper production, the cell requires a much lower DC current, as compared to conventional electrolysis cells, which use a parallel configuration of unipolar electrodes. This feature allows it to be supplied from a modular and compact PWM rectifier instead of a bulk and high current thyristor rectifier. Finite difference algorithms in two dimensions are derived to obtain the graphical distribution of the potential and the electric field inside the cell, and around the bipolar electrodes. The proposed modeling algorithms are implemented in the MATLAB software package. Different geometrical distributions of the floating electrodes in the cell are analyzed.

Abstract: Dual-closed loop PI control can hardly let PWM rectifier obtain good dynamic performance under load vari-ation,due to its inherent demerit in control structure and the lag of PI regulation.The dual-closed loop PI control sys-tem block diagram is constructed based on the mathematical model of PWM rectifier on two-phase synchronous rotat-ing reference frame.The dynamic feedforward compensator and the corresponding simplified static feedforward com-pensator for load variation are designed.The experimental results indicate that the static feedforward compensation can improve the anti-disturbance dynamic performance of PWM rectifier notably.The factor that affects the performance of static feedforward compensation is analyzed and the methods to further improve the anti-disturbance dynamic perfor-mance of PWM rectifier are proposed.

Abstract: The invention discloses a current hysteresis control digital implementation system for a PWM rectifier. TMS320F28069 DSP of Piccolo series of TI is adopted to achieve current hysteresis control, the functions of a chip dual-core processor are fully utilized, logic control, communication and three-phase current given generation for the PWM rectifier are achieved in a main CPU, a current hysteresis control strategy is achieved in a control rate accelerator, PWM pulses are generated to drive a power switch tube of a major loop, and the functions of the PWM rectifier are achieved. The control rate accelerator introduces the concurrent control loop execution function into a C28x series device. In this way, time delay existing from ADC damping to output is greatly reduced, and faster system response and a higher-frequency control loop are achieved. CLA is used for providing services for the control loop with strict time requirements, so that the main CPU freely processes other system tasks such as communication and diagnosis.

Abstract: The invention provides an energy feedback type traction power supply device which comprises one transformer, a diode rectifier unit, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) rectifier unit and a bidirectional direct current-direct current (DC-DC) convertor. A primary side three-phase winding of the transformer is used for being connected with an alternating current power supply, and two secondary three-phase winding of the transformer are respectively connected with the alternating current side of the diode rectifier unit and the alternating current side of the PWM rectifier unit. The bidirectional DC-DC convertor is connected with the direct current side of the diode rectifier unit and the direct current side of the PWM rectifier unit and used for adjusting output voltage on the direct current sides. The diode rectifier unit and the PWM rectifier unit shares one transformer through the DC-DC convertor, the transformer number can be decreased, the cost of the energy feedback type traction power supply device can be reduced, and the installing space can be reduced.
