TL;DR: A new AC/DC unidirectional switching cell with nine voltage levels is proposed, called Stacked-Flying-Capacitors-Coupled-Inductors (SFC2I) and can be connected between an AC current source and a DC voltage source.
Abstract: In this paper a new AC/DC unidirectional switching cell with nine voltage levels is proposed. It is called Stacked-Flying-Capacitors-Coupled-Inductors (SFC2I) and can be connected between an AC current source and a DC voltage source. The novelty of 9L-SFC2I topology is based on two cascaded stages that work at different currents, different voltage and different switching frequency. The first stage contains two diodes that operate at high-current, high-voltage and low-frequency. The second stage works at low-current, low-voltage and high-frequency. It combines the advantages of two stacked multilevel concepts, named Stacked-Flying-Capacitors (SFC) and Stacked-Coupled-Inductors (SCI). The SFC principle reduces the energy stored in flying-capacitors, while the SCI concept naturally sets to zero any difference between the winding currents of the coupled-inductors after each cycle. The operation principle of the 9L-SFC2I cell is verified both for single- and for three-phase unity-power-factor PWM rectifiers.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a mechanism for restraining direct-current magnetic biasing in a large power grid, where a PWM rectifier serving as an alternating current side is connected with a direct current side in parallel, and a transformer, a neutral line Hall current sensor and a CPU are sequentially connected.
Abstract: The utility model relates to a transformer direct-current magnetic biasing compensating device with a reactive compensation function, comprising a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) rectifier which is connected with a power grid by a reactor, the PWM rectifier serving as an alternating current side is connected with a direct current side in parallel, the direct current side, a transformer, a neutral line Hall current sensor and a CPU (Central Processing Unit) are sequentially connected; PLLs (Phase Locking Loops) are connected between the power grid and the CPU and between the reactor and the CPU. In the utility model, on the basis of static reactive compensation, a structure for inhibiting direct-current magnetic biasing is additionally arranged, the study on restraining direct-current magnetic biasing is considered in a large power grid, direct-current magnetic biasing is inhibited, normal operation of the power grid is not affected, so as to realize two efficacies by one device, reduce the cost of the device for inhibiting direct-current magnetic biasing, obtain certain economic benefit and have great valuable significance for the whole electric power system.

TL;DR: In this article, an LCL filtering-based circuit topology structure of a high-power PWM (pulse-width modulation) rectifier was disclosed, where a better filtering effect was achieved by replacing the traditional L filter with an L CL filter.
Abstract: The invention discloses an LCL filtering-based circuit topology structure of a high-power PWM (pulse-width modulation) rectifier. The circuit topology structure of the PWM rectifier comprises a single-phase PWM rectifier and a PWM rectifier adopting a three-phase and four-wire system; a better filtering effect is achieved by replacing the traditional L filter with an LCL filter; a PWM rectifier control method is based on the pulse width modulation technology of an SPWM (sinusoidal pulse width modulation) mode, and a control mode for a voltage outer loop and a current inner loop is adopted; a PI control mode is adopted by the common voltage outer loop and the independent current inner loop, and P and I parameters are respectively set for the common voltage outer loop and the independent current inner loop. According to the LCL filtering-based circuit topology structure disclosed by the invention, current and voltage cophasing at the grid side can be realized, so that the harmonic content of the grid side is reduced, and the harmonic pollution is reduced.

TL;DR: In this paper, a PLL circuit is employed to control the waveform of the AC input current to the rectifier according to a current command, regardless of the distortion of voltage waveform.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sinusoidal input current containing no higher harmonic, even if AC input voltage to a PWM rectifier is distorted, by employing a PLL circuit when controlling the waveform of the AC input current to the rectifier according to a current command. CONSTITUTION:AC input voltage to a PWM rectifier 6 is detected at the joint of reactors 3, 5 and an R phase detection voltage is inputted to a PLL circuit 40, which then provides an output to a multiplier 12 in order to produce an R phase current command. A T phase current command is produced similarly by multiplying the output from a PLL circuit 50, which receives an AC input voltage from the PWM rectifier 6, and the output from a voltage regulator 20 at a multiplier 32. By such arrangement, AC input current to the PWM rectifier 6 can be made sinusoidal regardless of the distortion of voltage waveform.

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved control strategy was raised which adopted the square of voltage as the feedback for the voltage loop and used current predictive control for the current loop to suppress the flush current and improve the dynamic effect.
Abstract: Dual closed-loop PI control is always used for three-phase PWM rectifierFor the constant proportion and integral coefficient,it cannot get good dynamic response in the entire power, especially in wind power system, which has high energy fluctuationIn addition, there exists saturation effect of PI integrator, which caused greater flush current when the rectifier runningSo the power switch is serious threatened and the controller over-current protection is triggered to stop the device running properlyAn improved control strategy was raised which adopted the square of voltage as the feedback for the voltage loop and used current predictive control for the current loopThe voltage slope limit and load current feed forward was employed to suppress the flush current and improve the dynamic effectEffectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are validated by the experiment results
