Abstract: : The present study was based on the assumption that a neutral Boron Pyrazole species would likely exist in a polymeric structure. Therefore, it should contain the bridging Boron Pyrazole units typical for pyrazaboles but also terminal B bonded Pyrazole groups and thus would be related to B-poly(1-pyrazolyl)pyrazaboles. Furthermore, a (pz)3B-B(pz)3 ion should be similar to a RB(pz)3 ion but for the fact that the former has two polydentate sites. These possibilities should provide for interesting variations as compared to the chemistry of B-(1-pyrazolyl)pyrazaboles and poly(1-pyrazolyl)borates, respectively. Keywords: tetrakis(1-pyrazolyl)dibor ane(4), (monomer, oligomers), bis(pyrazole)-tetrakis(1-pyrazolyl)diborane(4), hexakis(1-pyrazolyl)diborane(4) ate complexes.

Abstract: A novel cyan color-forming coupler for photographic use is disclosed. The coupler has a improved fastness for heat, humidity, and has a chemical structure represented by the following Formula I; ##STR1## wherein Z is a group of non-metal atoms necessary for completing a nitrogen-containing six-member heterocyclic ring condensed with the pyrazole ring. The six-member ring may be substituted or not substituted provided that the six-member ring does not have be condensed with any ring other than the pyrazole ring; R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of being split off upon reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent.

Abstract: Reactions of N-aminopyrazoles with halogenating reagents (Cl2, Br2, I2, BrCl, ICl, IBr, N-chlorosuccinimide, and N-bromosuccinimide) were examined. Some of these reagents preferentially lead to oxidation of the amino group to give the corresponding 1, 2, 3-triazines as major products, while others mainly gave either or both of 1-amino-4-halopyrazoles and 5-halo-1, 2, 3-triazines as the result of halogenation of the 4-position of the pyrazole ring prior to the oxidation of the amino group. In some cases, the oxidation of the amino group and the halogenation of the pyrazole ring proceeded concurrently to form not only the unhalogenated triazines but also the l -amino-4-halopyrazoles and the 5-halotriazines. Various reagents and reaction conditions were explored to utilize the reaction for the synthesis of halogenated and unhalogenated 1, 2, 3-triazines.

Abstract: 4-Phosphopyrazoles are prepared with good yield by cyclisation of hydrazone phosphorus compounds and ethylortho formiate. The effects of substitution are investigated on the 13C chemical shifts of pyrazole ring. The magnitude of the coupling constant 1 J pc is in good agreement with the hybridization of the phosphorus atom.

Abstract: Copper chloride methylpyrazole complexes have been studied and their quantitative composition and physicalchemical properties determined. On the basis of spectroscopic, electron paramagnetic resonance (c.p.r.) and magnetic studies, the structures of the complexes occurring in solids and the ethanol solutions are discussed. Four- and six-coordinate Cu-pyrazole complexes have been distinguished and the bridging properties of 3,5-demethylpyrazole ligand rationalized.

Abstract: Diazotization of amide-N-substituted 4-amino-3-methylpyrazole-5-carboxamides 4 with sodium nitrite and acetic acid produces 3-substituted 7-methyl-5H-pyrazolo[4,3-d]- 1,2,3-triazin-4(3H)-ones 6 or amide-N-substituted 3-methyl-4-diazopyrazole- 5-carboxamides 5, depending on the substitution pattern.
