TL;DR: In this paper, an automatic rear collision warning system of a vehicle is provided to identify a collision accident by comparing an impedance value of a glass antenna with a critical value, and a vehicle state control unit determines a state of rear collision by monitoring intensity of a signal measured by the impedance measurement module.
Abstract: An automatic rear collision warning system of a vehicle is provided to identify a collision accident by comparing an impedance value of a glass antenna with a critical value. A glass antenna(16) is installed at a rear glass of a vehicle in order to receive a signal of a public communication network. An impedance measurement module senses impedance of the glass antenna. A communication antenna receives a GPS signal and performs operations for receiving or transmitting a signal from or to a mobile communication network. A warning unit(14) transmits a warning signal through the communication antenna to a particular place and a particular person. A vehicle state control unit(11) determines a state of rear collision by monitoring intensity of a signal measured by the impedance measurement module.

TL;DR: In this article, a rear-end collision resisting system of a railcar train is described, in which an axle pulse sensor is arranged on a train wheel and is used for collecting pulses generated through rotation of a wheel axle.
Abstract: The utility model discloses a rear-end collision resisting system of a railcar train. An axle pulse sensor is arranged on a train wheel and is used for collecting pulses generated through rotation of a wheel axle; a train comprises a locating module, a first communication module, a second communication module, an interval calculating module, an alarming module and a braking module, wherein the locating module is connected with the axle pulse sensor and is used for calculating the position of a train; the first communication module is used for transmitting train position information to a next train; the second communication module is used for receiving position information of a previous train; the interval calculating module is connected with the locating module and the second communication module and is used for calculating the distance between two vehicles; the alarming module is connected with the interval calculating module and is used for transmitting alarming information when the distance between the two trains is smaller than a first preset value; and the braking module is connected with the interval calculating module and is used for emergently braking when the distance between the two trains is smaller than a second preset value. Through the rear-end collision resisting system disclosed by the utility model, the certain safe distance can be kept between two trains running front and back on a trail, thus the generation of rear-end collision of the train is avoided.

TL;DR: In this paper, a telemeter is arranged on the front end of the vehicle for measuring the distance between the vehicle and the object at the front and transmitting a distance signal to the controller, so that when the distance is less than a certain value, the controller starts the braking system for stopping the vehicle.
Abstract: The utility model discloses a device for preventing rear-end collision of a vehicle, relating to an automatic stopping device for preventing rear-end collision when the vehicle at the front stops suddenly, and mainly aiming at solving the problem that when meeting an emergency, people can not stop the vehicle in time. The device for preventing rear-end collision of a vehicle comprises a telemeter, a controller and a braking system. The telemeter is arranged on the front end of the vehicle for measuring the distance between the vehicle and the object at the front and transmitting a distance signal to the controller; when the distance between the vehicle and the object at the front is less than a certain value, the controller starts the braking system for stopping the vehicle. The utility model is provided with the braking system, so that when the distance between the vehicle and the object at the front is less than a certain value, the controller starts the braking system for avoiding the traffic accident.

TL;DR: In this paper, the inclination of an inclined plate 3 is set at a specified angle first turning a dial 5 so that a weight 6 slides along the inclined plate and reaches B-position to actuate a lighting switch 8 when an extremely large acceleration acceleration generated normally at the time of starting or stopping a vehicle, is applied to the vehicle.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve safety by detecting a displacement of acceleration at the time of deceleration, etc. of a vehicle as the displacement of a weight provided in the vehicle, and actuating a lighting switch utilizing the displacement of the weight to automatically light an emergency indicator lamp. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic lighting device is used, the inclination of an inclined plate 3 is set at a specified angle first turning a dial 5 so that a weight 6 slides along the inclined plate 3 and reaches B-position to actuate a lighting switch 8 when an extremely larger G (generated at the time of quick stopping, rear end collision, etc.) then G (gravitation acceleration) generated normally at the time of starting or stopping a vehicle, is applied to the vehicle. In such set-state, the weight 6 is adapted to climb the inclined plate 3 and presses a lever 8b of the lighting switch 8 to turn the switch 8 ON when the the vehicle quickly stops during running and a larger G is applied to the vehicle in front of it. Thus, an emergency indicator lamp lights (turns on and off), thereby it informs the following vehicles that the vehicle is being stopped.

TL;DR: The analysis indicates that it is possible to provide an imminent crash warning with the potential to significantly reduce the number of rear end collisions in freeway type traffic without producing an excessive number of nuisance alarms.
Abstract: This paper presents the results of an analytical study of rear end collision-warning algorithms using the REAMACS simulation. REAMACS (Rear End Accident Model And Countermeasure Simulation) is a quasi-Monte Carlo simulation that models rear end collision situations in freeway traffic and estimates the benefits of collision-avoidance systems. Vehicle speed and following distance data are obtained from a file of actual freeway data. Other parameters such as driver reaction time and braking levels are sampled from known distributions. The analysis indicates that it is possible to provide an imminent crash warning with the potential to significantly reduce the number of rear end collisions in freeway type traffic without producing an excessive number of nuisance alarms. Full effectiveness is achievable with a system range less than 100 m. Adding a following-too-close warning is effective mainly against low speed crashes and could be a serious annoyance, at least to some drivers.
