TL;DR: In this article, a brake lamp 75 is used to notify a subsequent vehicle of the possibility that the vehicle stops and a stoppage recognition means recognizing that a vehicle stopped at a place such as a T-character road and a crosspoint, where a visuality is bad.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the read-end collision of a vehicle with a subsequent vehi cle caused by restoppage of this vehicle just after it starts at a T-character road and a cross-point, etc., where a visuality is bad. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a brake lamp 75 notifying a subsequent vehicle of the possibility that the vehicle stops and a stoppage recognition means recognizing that the vehicle stopped at a place such as a T-character road and a cross-point, etc., where a visuality is bad. The attention of the driver of the subsequent vehicle is provoked by tuning on or flashing the brake lamp 75 from the point of time when the vehicle stopped at the place till the vehicle starts and becomes a prescribed running state having no possibility of a restoppage. The stoppage recognition means recognizes the stoppage of a specific place by detecting the marker provided on roads by a marker sensor 65.

TL;DR: This paper focused on analyzing the rear-end collision risk in work zone on freeway and identifying the prominent influencing factors and a sensitivity analysis methodology to identify the over-representative causal factors.
Abstract: This paper focused on analyzing the rear-end collision risk in work zone on freeway and identifying the prominent influencing factorsFirst, the traffic data of vehicles through the merging area and working area of the closed one-way work zone and closed passing-lane work zone were collected and analyzedThese data include vehicle type, speed, time headway and other traffic parameters which can characterize each individual vehicleSecond, the concept of deceleration rate to avoid crash(aD) was introduced, and a methodology to calculate rear-end collision risk based on aD was presentedFurthermore, the possible factors that will cause the rear-end collision risk were summarized, and 4 models to describe the relation between rear-end collision risk and influencing factors were calibratedBased on these models,a sensitivity analysis methodology to identify the over-representative causal factors is put forwardLastly,a case study is provided to verify the applicability and feasibility of the methodology, based on the merging area and work zone of the typical closed one-way work zone and closed passing lane work zone

TL;DR: Electroencephalography (EEG) study can be performed for the rear end collision warning systems, against proper auditory warning messages which indicate the types of hazards, which may save many lives.
Abstract: The number of vehicle accidents is rapidly increasing and causing significant economic losses in many countries. According to the World Health Organization, road accidents will become the fifth major cause of death by the year 2030. To minimize these accidents different types of collision warning systems have been proposed for motor vehicle drivers. These systems can early detect and warn the drivers about the potential danger, up to a certain accuracy. Many researchers study the effectiveness of these systems by using different methods, including Electroencephalography (EEG). From the literature review, it has been observed that, these systems increase the drivers' response and can help to minimize the accidents that may occur due to drivers unconsciousness. For these collision warning systems, tactile early warnings are found more effective as compared to the auditory and visual early warnings. This review also highlights the areas, where further research can be performed to fully analyze the collision warning system. For example, some contradictions are found among researchers, about these systems' performance for drivers within different age groups. Similarly, most of the EEG studies focus on the front collision warning systems and only give beep sound to alert the drivers. Therefore, EEG study can be performed for the rear end collision warning systems, against proper auditory warning messages which indicate the types of hazards. This EEG study will help to design more friendly collision warning system and may save many lives.

TL;DR: In this paper, an automobile capable of preventing parking rear-end collision consisting of an electronic parking system, a tail lamp, a VCU and a parking radar is arranged on the VCU; the parking radar was used for feeding a driving speed and a distance of a rear automobile adjacent to the automobile to the rear end collision preventing control module after the automobile is parked, while the tail lamp to flicker when the distance of the rear automobile is greater than a second preset value and less than a first preset value.
Abstract: The invention relates to an automobile. The automobile capable of preventing parking rear-end collision comprises an electronic parking system, a tail lamp, a VCU and a parking radar, wherein a rear-end collision preventing control module is arranged on the VCU; the parking radar is used for feeding a driving speed and a distance of a rear automobile adjacent to the automobile to the rear-end collision preventing control module after the automobile is parked; the rear-end collision preventing control module is used for causing the tail lamp to flicker when the distance of the rear automobile is greater than a second preset value and less than a first preset value and is used for braking the automobile through the electronic parking system when the distance of the rear automobile is less than the second preset value. The invention provides the automobile capable of preventing the parking rear-end collision and a method for preventing the parking rear-end collision, which are used for reducing or avoiding the chain-reaction collision accidents under the parking state, so that the problem that the present automobile cannot effectively avoid or reduce the chain-reaction collisions caused by the rear-end collision during a parking or traffic jam process of the automobile in a signalized intersection waiting area is solved.
