TL;DR: The rear-end collision prevention intervention belt as discussed by the authors consists of a base plate, where concavo-convex points are uniformly distributed on the base plate and reflection layers are arranged on the concave points, and when other vehicles arrive, the device warns drivers through the physical contact between the device and the running vehicles.
Abstract: The invention relates to a rear-end collision prevention intervention belt, and belongs to the field of roadway safety facilities. The rear-end collision prevention intervention belt comprises a base plate (1), wherein a plurality of concavo-convex points (2) are uniformly distributed on the base plate (1), and reflection layers are arranged on the concavo-convex points (2). When a vehicle is out of order and forced to stop on the high way, as long as the device is taken out to be put within a safe distance behind the vehicle, when other vehicles arrive, the device warns drivers through the physical contact between the device and the running vehicles. Particularly, during a long drive or fatigue driving, the general alarm warming probably does not have strong effectiveness, but the vehicle bumpiness generated by the physical contact can allow the drivers to quickly regain consciousness, and therefore accidents are prevented.

TL;DR: A rear-end accident forensics model for smart forensics is first developed to collect the information about road environments, vehicle information stored on edge infrastructures, and data logging within the accident scene and a liability determination scheme based on multi-access edge computing is proposed.
Abstract: Due to the multiplicity of rear-end collisions and the complexity of collision forensics, it is necessary to reconstruct and evaluate the accident. In this paper, we propose a rear-end forensics and liability determination scheme based on multi-access edge computing (MEC) to facilitate rapid smart forensics and determine the accident liability reasonably. Specifically, a rear-end accident forensics model for smart forensics is first developed to collect the information about road environments, vehicle information stored on edge infrastructures, and data logging within the accident scene. We then establish a data chain of rear-end incident (CRI) from the forensic information closely related to vehicles involved in the collision. The possible security state (PSS) of the rear vehicle can be obtained by decoding the actual state (AS) of the front vehicle in the CREI using the Hidden Markov Model (HMM). Accordingly, the rear-end collision evaluation metrics is set up, calculating the estimated liabilities (ELs) for each vehicle based on the driver’s attention level (AL) deduced from the proposed model. Finally, the liability of involved vehicle can be determined by HMM-based driver’s AL detection algorithm. The performance evaluations show that the proposed smart forensics and rear-end liability determination scheme can determine rear-end liability faster and more reasonably.

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-lane curve active early warning anti-collision guard bar and a rear-end collision early warning method is proposed for road traffic in mountainous areas.
Abstract: The invention discloses a mountainous-area two-lane curve active early-warning anti-collision guard bar and a rear-end collision early-warning method. Through the anti-collision guard bar, on the condition that the linear change of a mountainous-area curve is dramatic and the visibility range is poor, vehicles in two two-way lanes can be monitored in real time, the dynamic position change of all the vehicles is monitored, and then dangerous conditions which possibly occur can be subjected to early warning. The method comprises the steps of prompting of the running conditions of the vehicles ofopposite-direction lanes, early warning of rear-end collision of the front and rear vehicles, and prompting early warning through an acousto-optic system. By means of the mountainous-area two-lane curve active early-warning anti-collision guard bar and the rear-end collision early-warning method, main traffic risks which possibly occur in the curve can be subjected to all-directional and systematic advance early warning, and thus the occurrence of accidents is reduced; meanwhile, active early warning and passive anti-collision facility integrated design is conducted, and double guarantees ofthe traffic safety are achieved.

TL;DR: In this paper, an electrically-ignited firework alarm part is installed on a rearview mirror of the vehicle and combined with the rear-view mirror into a whole.
Abstract: The invention relates to a rear-end collision automatic alarm device. When the bending deformation of a vehicle front guard plate or a vehicle front cover occurs during read-end collision of a vehicle, the displacement of magnet steel arranged in the vehicle front cover and the vehicle front guard plate occurs, and a magnetic switch is disconnected, or a wire connection point is tightened for disconnecting the switch, a crystal triode in a control circuit connected with the switch can be conducted for realizing suction of a relay, and a resistance wire is connected for heating fireworks and crackers, which are electrically ignited for emitting different rear-end collision alarm signals, such as sound and light, firework display and white smoke. The alarm device is jointly opened with other indication control circuits of the vehicle. The device is further provided with an emergency alarm button for emergency alarm of a driver. An electrically-ignited firework alarm part is installed on a rear-view mirror of the vehicle and combined with the rear-view mirror into a whole. The device can also be made into a temporary installation form. The magnet steel, the magnetic switch, a pull-cord switch and the electrically-ignited firework alarm part can be fixed outside the vehicle and be temporarily installed or dismantled. The electrically-ignited firework alarm device which is temporarily installed uses a battery for power supply.

TL;DR: In this article, a rear frame for vehicle is provided with right and left side members 4 which are extended in the vehicle longitudinal direction and whose front end part is jointed to a rocker 5, and a cross member 7 jointing right side members to each other, wherein a reinforcing member 10 dispersing the input from the rear side of a vehicle acting upon the side member 4 on a front frame is mounted between the cross members 7 and the front frame.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear frame of a vehicle capable of ensuring the safety of an occupant by dispersing the force received at the time of rear end collision to a front frame and preventing the deformation to a side member. SOLUTION: This rear frame 1 for vehicle is provided with right and left side members 4 which are extended in the vehicle longitudinal direction and whose front end part is jointed to a rocker 5, and a cross member 7 jointing right and left side members 4 to each other, wherein a reinforcing member 10 dispersing the input from the rear side of a vehicle acting upon the side member 4 on a front frame is mounted between the cross member 7 and the front frame.
