TL;DR: In this paper, a rear-end collision early warning system of a hazardous article transportation vehicle is presented. But the system is not suitable for the use in emergency situations, as it requires the driver to be reminded in time, and mandatory braking is executed in a vehicle danger state.
Abstract: The invention provides a rear-end collision early-warning system of a hazardous article transportation vehicle. The system comprises an ultrasonic distance-measuring unit, a speed detecting unit, a steering detecting unit, an accelerator pedal monitoring unit, a brake pedal monitoring unit, a CAN communication unit, a processor unit, a key input unit, a display unit, a sound-light warning system,a braking unit and a power supply unit. According to the system, based on technologies of sensors, CAN bus communication and single chip microcomputer processing, accurate distance measurement in front of and behind the vehicle and real-time display of the distances between vehicles are achieved; by arranging sectional warning lamps, a driver can be reminded in time, and mandatory braking is executed in a vehicle danger state, so that the traffic safety coefficient is greatly improved, and the occurrence rate of traffic accidents is effectively reduced; according to the system, the structure is simple, the cost is low, system power consumption is low, the detection precision is high, the response sensitivity is high, the stability and the reliability are high, the system has good extensibility, and the safety coefficient of the hazardous article transportation vehicle in transportation is greatly improved.

TL;DR: In this paper, a rear-end collision prevention device is provided with a detection means for detecting a panic brake; a panic braking signal transmission means for transmitting panic brake signal using an LED when the panic braking detection means detects that it is the panic brake.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear-end collision prevention device capable of suppressing possibility of the collision by immediately operating a brake when the dangerous state where possibility of the rear-end collision with a preceding vehicle is high is detected. SOLUTION: The rear-end collision prevention device is provided with a detection means for detecting a panic brake; a panic brake signal transmission means for transmitting a panic brake signal using an LED when the panic brake detection means detects that it is the panic brake; and a panic brake signal receiving means for receiving the above signal and controlling the brake. Thereby, the brake can be exactly operated earlier than that a person recognizes the danger with the preceding vehicle and steps the brake. A rear-end collision accident can be effectively suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this article, a vehicle rear-end collision prevention safety device based on an AVR is mainly composed of a single-chip microcomputer controller, an acceleration sensor, a Hall vehicle speed sensor, an laser radar unit, an LED brake lamp, a liquid crystal displayer and circuits like a power source.
Abstract: A novel vehicle rear-end collision prevention safety device based on an AVR is mainly composed of a single-chip microcomputer controller, an acceleration sensor, a Hall vehicle speed sensor, a laser radar unit, an LED brake lamp, a liquid crystal displayer and circuits like a power source. By adoption of a function modular technology, operation and extension are easy; and by using the components of a high cost-performance ratio, good application and market prospects are achieved. The design scheme is feasible, a great significance on vehicle rear-end collision prevention is achieved, and the adopted acceleration sensor can also be used for monitoring a vibration signal to prevent a vehicle from being stolen.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to prevent a rear-end collision by detecting the light of the headlights of a vehicle approaching from the rear and blinking a high mount for the fixed time.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a rear-end collision by sensing the light of the headlights of a vehicle approaching from the rear, and blinking a high mount for the fixed time. CONSTITUTION: The front of an optical sensor 1 is covered with a cover 4, and only the light entering in a range of angle θ from a small hole 5 provided at the front face is sensed by the optical sensor 1. A computing element 7 computes the light outputted from the optical sensor 1 and judges day or night from this value. While judging night, the light of the headlights of an approaching vehicle is detected by the optical sensor 1. When there is output of the specified value or more, the presence of the approaching vehicle is judged, and a control signal is outputted to a high mount 2 to blink the high mount 2 for the fixed time. A rear-end collision can thereby be prevented.

TL;DR: In this article, a rear-end collision early warning method based on VARMA model short-time prediction is proposed, which includes: firstly, obtaining vehicle state data based on the Internet of Vehicles and a vehicle-mounted measuring instrument; judging whether the vehicle state state data is unit root non-stationary or not according to the position, speed and acceleration information of the vehicle and the leading vehicle and weather conditions of the located road section; calculating a vehicle state prediction value from t to t + h.
Abstract: The invention discloses a rear-end collision early warning method based on VARMA model short-time prediction. The method includes: firstly, obtaining vehicle state data based on the Internet of Vehicles and a vehicle-mounted measuring instrument; judging whether the vehicle state data is unit root non-stationary or not according to the position, speed and acceleration information of the vehicle and the leading vehicle and the weather conditions of the located road section, and respectively constructing a VARMA model, an ECM-VAR model and an estimation coefficient matrix for stationary and non-stationary data; calculating a vehicle state prediction value from t to t + h, and obtaining a prediction value of the relative distance between the two vehicles on the premise of supposing the deceleration of the front vehicle; judging the size relationship between the relative distance prediction value and the safe following distance, and sending a rear-end collision early warning report when the relative distance is smaller than the safe following distance; the method has high prediction precision, predicts the future vehicle state by means of the VARMA model, improves the rear-end collision early warning precision, and extends the early warning time span; and the method can be applied to an auxiliary driving system of the Internet of Vehicles.
