Abstract: The invention disclosed herein includes a reducer coupling, a positioner tool for connecting the coupling to a conduit section, and a nut for securing the positioner tool to the coupling. The reducer coupling is useful in various operations, such as some oil field operations in which it is used to connect a smaller conduit (delivery line) into a larger conduit (production casing). In practice, the positioner tool is secured to the reducer coupling and the coupling is moved into its hook-up position above the production casing, by attaching a rig to the positioner tool. The coupling can then be threaded into the casing by turning the positioner tool with a wrench, or similar tool.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize a photoengraving device which is suited for lithographic printing and provides high image quality by extracting and storing the signals of desired image planes then correcting the deviations of said signals with time, removing noises and stressing contours. CONSTITUTION:Video signals are reproduced with a VTR2-1, VDR2-2, etc. and are supplied to an input device selecting part 3. In the part 3, a desired input device is selected and desired image planes are selected and are stored into eithere of frame memories 5, 6 which is not used. The stored and selected image planes are supplied to an image quality improving part 7 of an image signal processing and converting part. In the part 7, a time base corrector, a noise reducer, etc. are provided to prevent the generation of differences at the sampling start points of respective scanning lines and the number of sampling picture images, to suppress various kinds of noises and to stress contours, etc. thereby improving image quality. Thus the photoengraving device which is suited for lithographic printing and provides high image quality is realized.

Abstract: A change spur gear of reducer unit design features two paths of force. The first path of force comprises a unit which provides gearing to high speed, a hydrodynamic torque converter and, following it, a multiple shift gear. The second path of force comprises as well a unit which provides gearing to high speed, on the high speed shaft of which there is a hydrodynamic servoclutch arranged. The secondary vane wheel connects through appropriate reducers with the transmission output. In shifting from one gear to another, the servoclutch is filled first, then the respective shift detent is disengaged under no load, the servoclutch is adjusted to the slip corresponding with the next gear thereby enabling a no-load shifting of the detent of the next gear. Upon emptying of the servoclutch, the engine moment is again assumed by the first path of force without any interruption of the traction force.

Abstract: It is constituted by the combination first of a hollow cylindrical body 1 into which open the pipes from the main vacuum source 2, for communication with the drain 3 or an alternative and preferably a third pipe 8 for communication with atmospheric air and next of a flexible membrane 5 supported by a rigid sleeve 6 blocking the cavity 7 of the hollow cylindrical body in an airtight manner. It is intended to keep a moderate reduced pressure for carrying out draining of biological and pathological liquids.

Abstract: A night vision system 1 has a large image intensifier device 2 coupled to a video camera 5 by a fibre optic reducer 6, whereby the size of the image is reduced to match the size of camera tube 4 without significant loss of brilliance. A conductive screen 20 (Figure 3) covers the input face of the reducer 6 and is used to leak electron charges to earth whereby any electric interference is reduced. Magnets may be attached to the reducer 6 in order to reduce geometric image distortion. Control arrangements for the intensifier 2 and video camera 5 are described (Figure 4). Visibility of a partly submerged object e.g. a loy can be enhanced by stretching the image in a vertical plane.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To produce an automatic bib device whose motor function and circuit are simplified by providing some play between a driving shaft and middle driving body. CONSTITUTION: A driving shaft 52 is connected with a motor 53 through a middle driving body 81 and reducer 58, and the middle driving body 81 is composed of an approximately kitchen knife-shaped driving plate 55 and two returning plates 61. The driving plate 55 is mounted pivotally in vertical direction on a shaft 54 near the driving shaft 52, and a projected roller 56 provided on the side of the tip of the driving plate 55 is fitted with free vertical movement in the vertically long hole 57 of the driving shaft 52. After the motor 53 has driven the middle driving body 81, a spring 65 automatically returns the middle driving body 81 to its original position. Consequently, the motor 53 may be rotated in only one direction for the one action of a drive control section 2 without returning the middle driving body 81 to its original position by reversing the motor 53, and the rotational function of the motor 53 can be therefor simplified. Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent both squat and nose dive phenomena from occurring, by outputting an external signal for selection of damping force at a time when engine load is out of the specified range, while making the specified range so as to be expanded in proportion as the detected gear ratio becomes small. CONSTITUTION:When an engine's load 1, a car speed and detection signals Dp, Dr and Dc of a clutch 3 are all inputted into a microcomputer 30, an arithmetic unit 32 renews fuel pulse signals in regular sequence and stores them in memory one after another, while is judges a clutch engagement state through a clutch signal Dc, and calculates a gear ratio G from a car speed Dv and the engine load Dp in time of clutch engagement. This gear ratio G is compared with each step gear ratio of a speed reducer and judges of what step gear ratio is the case, then it sets the setting value for judgement in order. And, if a squat state occurs, damping force is made to increase yet more but if there is no squat, the damping force is kept down to low. With this constitution, the squat in a car is prevented from occurring.

Abstract: The invention relates to pressure surge reducers for use in pipelines. A plurality of pressure vessels (2) are disposed around a support pipe (1) which is installed as part of the pipeline. Each pressure vessel is independently connected to the support pipe (1) by a discrete feed line (7), and has a gas cushion (4) which absorbs and thereby reduces pressure surges of the fluid in the pipeline. The reducer may be preassembled for direct installation in a pipeline, the support pipe (2) constituting a length of the pipeline itself.

A traveling wheel 13 is mounted on a speed reducer output shaft 9a of the device 7 via a drive cup 14, and the support body 10 is supported an outer peripheral part of a cylindrical body 11 via a bearing 15. The car wheel unit is driven via the electric motor 8, speed reducer 9, output shaft 9a, drive cup 14, and car wheel 13 in thier order.

The preferred form of the polyanionic cellulose is sodium carboxymethyl cellulose having a molecular weight from about 100,000 to 1.2 million. The polyanionic cellulose is present in an amount up to 20% of the weight of the primary water-loss reducer. The drilling fluid can further contain a weighting agent such as barite. The composition is suitable for circulating in a bore hole while drilling the bore hole into subterranean formations.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the heating time for materials to be welded and to enable preheating with less energy and lower cost by disposing a burner in a cover for preventing heat diffusion and covering the weld line of the materials by the cover for preventing heat diffusion. CONSTITUTION:A burner is provided with main nozzle holes 3 and auxiliary nozzle holes 4 arranged at a specified angle and is attached with plates 5 for preventing blow-off on both sides of the nozzle holes. A cover 2 for preventing heat diffusion having a specular inside surface is attached to the burner body 1 attached with such plates so as to cover said body. The burner body 1 and a reducer 10 are connected by a mixing pipe 9 and a fuel blow nozzle 11 and an air regulating plate 12 are respectively connected by a nozzle fixture 13. Fuel is supplied from the nozzle 11 through a hose 15 and a fuel regulating valve 14.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a built-in type hydraulic vibration reducer exhibit an effective vibration reducing action by almost nearly equalizing the average sectional area of the tank with the effective sectional area of the right side hydraulic chamber of a piston. CONSTITUTION:One of two pullers 2a, 5a of a vibration reducer is engaged to a structure and the other puller is engaged to a piping to be vibration-reduced. When a piston 4 causes going or coming back movement due to temperature change the oil freely flows through two valves 8, 9 without restricting the movement of the piping, taking effect of vibration reducing action. When the piston 4 moves quickly by such as an earthquake the valve 8 or 9 closes depending on the direction of the piston movement, and the vibration is reduced by the action of the piston 4 to strongly press the oil. As a bellows 6c and a right chamber 1b have almost the same sectional area, a stable vibration reducing action is achieved despite the cantilever rod construction of the device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To permit the reduction of a pump capacity as well as a power during operation by a method wherein pure water, located at low positions and having low pressures such as reserved water in the hot well of a condenser, reserved water in a water reserving equipment at the outside of a cycle or the like, is sucked and extracted by a water ejector and a necessary spray water is sufficed by the summed up amount of the pure water and driving water CONSTITUTION: The cycle excessive steam of a boiler or the like passes through a damp steam pipe 7, is reduced by a reducing valve 8 and a temperature reducer 9 in the pressure and temperature thereof, is distributed and diffused by an energy damper 11 and is introduced into a condenser 2 The steam, introduced into the condenser, drives a water ejector 16 by high pressure condensed water, supplied from the outlet condensed water pipe of a condensed water system pump 5 and sucks the reserved water of a condenser hot well 4 by the suction force of the water ejector 16 through water extracting pipes 14, 15 while the reserved water is joined with driving water and cooled condensed water is sprayed from a spray nozzle 13, provided at the upper connecting cylinder of the condenser, to effect contact heat exchange between induced steam and reduce the temperature thereof The suction amount of the cooled condensed water of the water ejector 16 is 3W4 times of the amount of driving water, therefore, the amount of condensed water, taken from the delivery side of the condensed water system pump, may be satisfied by 1/4W1/5 times of the necessary amount of spray water COPYRIGHT: (C)1987,JPO&Japio
