Abstract: The present invention discloses a cantilever type screen-printing machine with double platforms that possess a gear reducer motor with a hollow shaft to rotate a screw of a threaded screw unit and further drive a threaded rod to move upward and downward without rotation inside the hollow shaft thus make a transverse sliding assembly move vertically and synchronously with the threaded rod. Moreover, by a rectangular frame and two sets of horizontal micro adjustable chase clamping mechanism transversely fixed on the rectangular frame, the relative position between the chase and the print materials is adjusted directly. The upper and the lower platforms are driven and powered by two gear reducer motors and a homocentric coaxial-type driving mechanism respectively. By the simplified driving mechanism, the printing efficiency and productivity are enhanced.

Abstract: A grey-based Taguchi method is proposed to discover the optimal design of the rifle muzzle flash reducer. According to existing research and following interviews with specific domain experts, the critical design factors which influence the reducer’s performance have been ascertained. They are: (1) existence of the front cover, (2) diameter of the outside exhaust hole, (3) location of the exhaust hole on the extension tube, (4) diameter of the outside tube and (5) length of the outside tube. Based on these factors and their different levels, the L18 (21*37) orthogonal array was chosen for experimental combinations. Analyses of the S/N ratio and grey matrix are presented to conduct verification through the obtained raw data from test firing. The proposed methodology confirms the stability of the optimal combination. Moreover, verification results boost one’s confidence that the optimal reducer’s parameters can achieve optimal quality. Under α=0.05, the most significant factor for reducing muzzle flash is the existence of the front cover. Using such a reducer, with a combination designed in accordance with the Taguchi method, the muzzle flash with the reducer decreased the pixels from 94322 to 341, a 99.64% improvement. This is an extemely significant amelioration.

Abstract: A cooling structure for a motorized roller is provided, which has a simple construction, and is capable of effectively reducing temperature increases inside the apparatus. Such a motorized roller includes a motor and a reducer which are disposed inside a roller body. Rotations of the motor are reduced by the reducer and transmitted to the roller body, and a reaction force to the driving force of the roller body is able to be received, via casings that house the motor and the reducer, by an external member that fixes the casings so that rotations of the casings are prevented. In this cooling mechanism for the motorized roller, an air passage for guiding air in an axial direction from one end of the reducer to the other end is formed in an outer peripheral surface of the casing for the reducer.
