Abstract: An atomic layer deposition (ALD) apparatus capable of forming a conformal ultrathin-film layer with enhanced step coverage is disclosed. The apparatus includes an ALD reactor supporting therein a wafer, and a main pipe coupled thereto for constant supply of a carrier gas. This pipe has two parallel branch pipes. Raw material sources are connected by three-way valves to one branch pipe through separate pipes, respectively. Similarly, oxidant/reducer sources are coupled by three-way valves to the other branch pipe via independent pipes. ALD works by introducing one reactant gas at a time into the reactor while being combined with the carrier gas. The gas is “chemisorped” onto the wafer surface, creating a monolayer deposited. During the supply of a presently selected material gas from its source to a corresponding branch pipe, this gas passes through its own pipe independently of the others. An ALD method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A modified latex drag reducer and methods of making and using the drag reducer in order to reduce friction losses resulting from turbulent fluid flow through a conduit. Particularly, the modified latex drag reducer is formed from an initial latex which is a product of an emulsion polymerization reaction. The initial latex is then modified, preferably by admixing with at least one low HLB surfactant or at least one solvent, or both, to form a modified latex with an enhanced dissolution rate in a hydrocarbon stream over the initial latex.

Abstract: The present invention is for a spill prevention system to prevent fuel spills from a connecting line connecting duel fuel tanks on a truck when the connecting line is severed or detached from one of the reducer fittings to which it is attached. The connecting line provides pressure communication between the fuel tanks so that fuel flows from one tank to the other whenever there is an unequal pressure acting on the fuel, which occurs whenever one tank has more fuel in it than the other. The connecting line connects to the reducer fitting located on each fuel tank. A safety valve is immersed in the fuel in each tank and connected to the reducer fittings. Each safety valve is configured to shut off flow to the connecting line when the connecting line is severed or detached from the one of the reducer fittings.

Abstract: Traction-drive speed reducers offer certain advantages over geared speed reducers. In particular, they generally run quieter than geared units and provide an opportunity for higher efficiency by eliminating sliding motion between contacting elements. In order to generate a sufficiently high output torque, some means must be provided to create a normal force between the rolling elements. This normal force, along with the friction coefficient, enables the device to transmit torque from one rolling member to the next. The speed reducer proposed here is designed so that the configuration of the rolling elements creates the needed normal force in response to the torque exerted back on the system by the downstream loading. Thus the device is self-actuating. Since the normal force is only present when needed, the rolling elements of the device can readily be disengaged, thus eliminating the need for a separate clutch in the drive system. This feature can be exploited to design a transmission with several distinct speed ratios that can be engaged and disengaged in response to changing speed requirements.

Abstract: A powered fishing line casting system utilizing compressed air is provided to cast a projectile provided with fishhooks and bait, and to which the fishing line to be cast is attached, to greater distances than could be achieved using conventional casting methods. The system includes a hollow launch tube sized to accommodate insertion of the projectile. A reducer is disposed adjacent to one end of the launch tube and is adapted to receive a flow of compressed gas from an accumulator tank and to discharge a stream of high-velocity air that impinges upon the projectile disposed within the launch tube in order to launch the projectile. A manually-operable valve is interposed between the reducer and the accumulator tank to control the flow of air to the reducer. Spaced-apart front and rear support legs provide stable support for the system during and between launches of a fishing line carrying projectile.

Sun wheel of planet gear reducer is installed on internal rotor. The spindle passes through hollow sun wheel. Ring gear of planet gear through one-way holdback is installed on spindle; outer casing of motor as planet carrier outputs power so as to constitute BAX driving type of NGW type planet gear reducer. Comparing with prior art, the invention raises efficiency, providing features of simple structure, small size, low cost, suitable to motor-assisted bicycle, electric motor and electric wheel chair.

SOLUTION: A carrier 30 of the planetary gear speed reducer 25 is fixed into a cylindrical spindle 15 with a bolt 31. The plurality of supporting pins 29 have oil paths 29B for supplying lubricating oil to bearings 28A of the planetary gears 28. To the end face of the carrier 30 (an annular plate part 30A), a passage plate 48 is fixed which has oil paths 49 commonly communicated with the oil paths 29B of the plurality of supporting pins 29. The passage plate 48 has a through-hole 48D in the direction of the plate thickness. The through-hole 48D of the passage plate 48 is connected to an external lubricating oil pump via an oil guide pipe 46, and lubricating oil is forcibly supplied through the oil passage 49 to the oil path 29B of each supporting pin 29. When the input speed to the first input gear unit is 2,000 RPM, the output from the eccentric rocking type speed reducing unit is 20 RPM or higher. The reduction ratio of the first-stage reduction gear mechanism is so selected that individual crankshafts may rotate not over 1,000 RPM when the output from the eccentric rocking type speed reducing unit is 20 RPM or higher.

The defroster of swirling flow is arranged on the upper part of an absorbing reaction tower. The filler frame in the absorbing reaction tower is three layers at least, and the reducer layer is also arranged at the lower side of the filler layers. The utility model has the advantages of original conception, compact conformation, easy operation, safety, reliability, complete closed cycle, no discharge of end gas and good performance of environmental protection. The automatic absorbing device for leaked chlorine gas raises the absorption efficiency and greatly quickens the absorption rate. The reducer is blended with the compressed air in the compound pipe, and it is ejected into the discharging pipe through the multi-aperture nozzle, and distributed onto the surface of the catalyst, thus it upgrades the effective utilization rate of the reducer; and the reducer nozzle is not assembled on the discharging pipe directly, avoids the discharging pipe high temperature, adds the temperature drop of the compressed air and the cooling liquid, it can increase the reliability and prolong life service of the supplying device. Abstract: A joint structure is employed for an articulated type robot in which a speed reducer of one-stage speed reducing structure and a servo motor are directly connected to each other for the joint of the rotary base (B1) and and the lower arm (A1) and for the joint of the lower arm (A1) and the upper arm (A2). The input shaft (2) of the speed reducer (10) directly connected to the output shaft of the servo motor (1) attached to the first member (8) (B1/A2) is a crank shaft composing a cam, and the external gears (3a,3b,3c) are meshed with the cam surfaces. When the servo motor (1) is driven and the input shaft (2) is rotated, the external gears (3a,3b,3c) are eccentrically revolved and rotated while the external gears (3a,3b,3c) are meshed with the internal gear (4) provided inside the case (5) of the speed reducer (10). The rotation is taken out by a plurality of pin members (6) engaged to the external gears (3a,3b,3c) and transmitted to the output shaft (7) of the speed reducer (10). Therefore, the second member (9) (A1) is relatively pivoted with respect to the first member (8). Due to the foregoing, the robot structure in which a plurality of joint devices for connecting the adjoining links via the speed reducer are connected in series to each other can be simplified.

The down pressure make a valve core move downward, via a drive bolt and the transference of a casing screw nut. When the reverse impulse is input, the drive bolt moves upward. The valve core moves upward under the elasticity effect of a bellow. Therefore the opening degree of the valve port is changed, which changes the circulation area of the refrigerant. The utility model can regulate the flow rate of the refrigerant, control the degree of superheat of the evaporator of the air conditioner system, and can be used to control the operation of the frequency conversion compressor. The scope of the refrigerating effect of the valve is big; and the capacity of the control circuit is small; the utility model has the advantages of compactness, smaller phase current, rapid reaction, etc.

SOLUTION: The lubricant composition is the one wherein the particles of a polyurethane resin, synthesized by reacting a long chain polyol having a number average mol. wt. of ≥500, a crosslinking agent having three or more active hydrogen groups in one molecule and a polyisocyanate, are added into a lubricant as buffer particles. The reducer 50 is filled with the above lubricant particles. The electric power steering apparatus slows down the revolution of the electric motor M for steering assist through the above reducer 50. Angle sensors are mounted on the knuckle motor rotating shaft and the output of the knuckle reducer, and their detected rotation angle information is processed in the signal acquiring and processing system and fed back to the control system, so as to constitute one double-closed loop control system. By means of certain algorithm, the present invention can eliminate the influence of the driving error of the reducer to realize the high precision control of the motion system. The present invention has simple technological process, high motion control precision and good error eliminating effect.
