Abstract: A system for reduction of vertebral bodies (or vertebrae) in various embodiments includes a reducer, and extender, and a hollow tube. The reducer couples to the extender, which in turn couples to an elongated member, such as a rod, and to a bone fastener assembly. The reducer allows reduction of the vertebral body incrementally, and by a desired amount. The reducer may include or may be used in conjunction with a holding device or holder in order to hold or keep the amount of reduction constant or steady once the desired amount of reduction has been obtained. The reducer may use one of several embodiments, including embodiments that use threaded assemblies or members, inclining members or wedges, offset cams, scissor jacks, and/or levers.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably maintain the internal temperature of an injection valve at an appropriate level in an exhaust gas treatment apparatus for an engine in which a reducer is supplied into exhaust gases by the injection valve. SOLUTION: The reducer 16 is supplied into the exhaust gases 4 exhausted from the engine and flowing down an exhaust gas duct 5, and nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gases are removed from the exhaust gases by reducing/reacting the nitrogen oxides with the reducer on a selective reducing catalyst. The reducer is supplied into the exhaust gases by the injection valve 17. A cooling chamber 24 is so formed as to surround the injection valve. The reducer drain members have non-parallel upper and lower edges, such that one end of a reducer drain member is taller than its other end. An assembly is created such that the slope of the upper edges of the reducer drain members is not parallel to the drainpipe axis, allowing the upper edges of the reducer drain members to correspond to the slope of the ground surface.

Pin teeth are disposed along an inner periphery of a case to allow each of the first, second and third externally-toothed gears to be in meshing engagement therewith. An output shaft unit is adapted to be rotated in conjunction with the first, second and third externally-toothed gears. The first, second and third eccentric portions are arranged with a given phase difference in a rotation direction of the crankshaft with respect to each other. Each of the first, second and third externally-toothed gears is in meshing engagement with less than half of the plurality of pin teeth.

Abstract: Drag reduction of hydrocarbon fluids flowing through pipelines of various lengths is improved by polyolefin drag reducer dispersions or dispersions using bi- or multi-modal particle size distributions. Drag reducers having larger particle sizes dissolve more slowly than drag reducers having smaller particle sizes. By using at least bi-modal particle size distributions drag reduction can be distributed more uniformly over the length of the pipeline where smaller sized particles dissolve sooner or earlier in the pipeline and larger sized particles dissolve later or further along the pipeline.

Abstract: A video noise reducer reduces the noise artifacts in a video signal. The video noise reducer is reconfigurable to provide spatial noise reduction and temporal noise reduction in either a parallel or cascade architecture. The video noise reducer is self-calibrating by providing estimation modules that estimate the amount of noise in the video signal and a noise injector that confirms the measurement against a known quantity of noise. The video noise reducer is adaptive to solutions in hardware or a combination of hardware and firmware. The video noise reducer is also optimized for efficient memory usage in interlaced video signal processing applications.

The return air sound reducer includes a housing defining an interior return volume provided with sound reducing material applied to one or more inside surfaces of the interior return volume and a layer of perforated material disposed over the sound reducing material. Mid-structure including sound reducing material is disposed in each of the supply and return air assemblies.

Abstract: The utility model discloses a vehicular cable tester, which comprises a base and a test bench, wherein the test bench is provided with a positioning device which is composed of a spiral spring, intermediate supporting clamps and end fixing clamps; the end fixing clamps and the intermediate supporting clamps are every two arranged in parallel and in a Z shape; both ends are respectively provided with a transmission part composed of a fixing end dynamometer, a stretching end dynamometer and a ratchet counter; one side of the test bench near to the ratchet counters is provided with a motor and a reducer, and an output shaft of the reducer is connected with an eccentric wheel. The utility model has the advantages of convenient, quick and visual test, high reliability, etc., the existence of unqualified products can be definitely checked out and the situation that unqualified products come into the market can be avoided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a harmonic speed reducer increased in durability, reduced in weight, and manufacturable easily. SOLUTION: This harmonic speed reducer comprises an annular rigid internal gear 2, a flexible external gear 3 disposed on the inside thereof, and a wave generator 4 disposed on the inside thereof. The flexible external gear 3 comprises a tubular body part 31 radially deformable and having flexibility, a tubular tooth part 30 having external teeth formed formed continuously with one end of the body part 31 thereof, an annular diaphragm 32 radially extending continuously with the other end of the body part 31, and a boss 33 continued with the diaphragm. The flexible external gear 3 comprises a body part of which outer diameter is 7 mm or smaller and is formed of a titanium alloy containing 30 to 60 mass% vanadium group elements or a metal glass containing zirconium and nickel.
