Abstract: This paper introduces an alternative type-reduction method for interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy logic systems (FLSs), with either continuous or discrete secondary membership function. Unlike the Karnik-Mendel type reducer which is based on the wavy-slice representation of a type-2 fuzzy set, the proposed type reduction algorithm is developed using the vertical-slice representation. One advantage of the approach is the output of the type reducer can be expressed in closed form, thereby providing a tool for the theoretical analysis of IT2 FLSs. The computational complexity of the proposed method is also lower than the uncertainty bounds method and the enhanced Karnik-Mendel method. To assess the feasibility of the proposed type-reducer, it is used to calculate the output of an IT2 fuzzy logic controller (FLCs). Results from a simulated coupled tank experiment demonstrated that IT2 FLCs that employ the proposed type reduction algorithm share similar robustness properties as FLCs based on the Karnik-Mendel type reducer.

Abstract: A rod reducer instrument is configured to be secured to a fixation element and to force a rod into engagement with the fixation element. The rod reducer instrument can have a pliers to secure the rod reducer to the fixation element and a threaded shaft with a handle and a pusher member. The pliers can form a threaded channel that engages the threaded shaft and directs a movement of the shaft. The threaded shaft can translate a rotational movement at the handle into a linear movement at the pusher member and in this way force a rod into engagement with a fixation element.

The brake is electrically actuated to permit transmission of energy to the gear reducer. The gear reducer includes an input, intermediate and output planetary stages. The input and intermediate stages residing within the spindle, and, the output planetary stage drives an output ring gear. Abstract: A parallel eccentric electro-mechanical actuator provides motive power and includes an electric prime mover that drives the reducer's pinion gear. This pinion drives minimum three star gears with stationary shaft bearings. Each shaft contains an eccentric which are completely in parallel with each other. These eccentrics can be thought of as parallel/in-phase driven crankshafts. Each eccentric drives the parallel eccentric (PE) gear through a bearing. The PE gear exhibits a circular motion (without rotation) which in itself is unbalanced. The crankshafts have another eccentric which create an opposite inertia force to balance that of the PE gear. The PE gear contains an external toothed gear on its periphery. It meshes with the internal teeth of the output ring gear. The relative motion between the PE gear and the ring gear is that the PE gear rolls inside the ring gear. This relative motion is called hypo-cycloidal motion.

The wheel group all includes a wheel frame, a wheel, a wheel shaft, a steering shaft of the wheel frame, a speed reducer and a motor. The permanent magnetic absorptive mechanism includes a gag bit and two magnet groups with reverse polarities. The steering mechanism includes a bracket, a driving chain wheel, a shaft of the driving chain wheel, a chain, the speed reducer and the motor. The permanent magnetic absorptive mechanism is connected with the bottom of the trolley frame. The steering mechanism is fixed at the trolley frame. Abstract: This paper introduces a new study on the applications of optimization and computer techniques for optimal calculation of the partial ratios of two-step helical gearboxes for minimal reducer length. In the paper, basing on moment equilibrium condition of a mechanic system including two gear units and their regular resistance condition, a new way for determining the partial ratios of two-step helical gearboxes were suggested. By using regression analysis, explicit models for calculation of the partial ratios are given. These models allow calculating the ratios accurately and simply.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method of reducing CO2 to prepare methanoic acid, methanol and methane under hydrothermal conditions by using metal, and relates to the method of transforming pure CO2 gas or CO2 in waste gas into industrial material that is the methanoic acid, the methanol and the methane. The pure CO2 or CO2 in waste gas, water as well as reducer, and a catalyst are put in a hydrothermal reactor; the CO2 is performed through hydrothermal reduction to obtain the methanoic acid, the methanol and the methane under the conditions that the addition quantity of the reducer is 1 to 25 times (by molar ratio) the content of the CO2 which is put in the reaction equipment, the addition quantity of the catalyst is 0 to 10 times (by molar ratio) the quantity of the reducer, the reaction temperature ranges from 200 DEG C to 245 DEG C, the reaction pressure ranges from 5MPa to 25MPa, the pH value ranges from 8 to 14, and the reaction time ranges from 10 minutes to 12 hours. A gaseous phase products that is the methane can be collected through gas-liquid separation, and the methanoic acid and the methanol mixed solution is separated and purified at the same time. The method efficiently transforms the CO2 into organic matters with high additional value in a low consumption way, the CO2 is changed into resource, the technology is simple without the secondary pollution, and worthful economic and social benefits are realized.
