Abstract: The syngas chemical looping (SCL) process employing the gas–solid counter-current flow pattern demonstrates an innovative approach to generate hydrogen and/or electricity from syngas accompanied with in situ carbon capture. Iron-based oxygen carriers donate oxygen for complete syngas conversion in the reducer. The reduced oxygen carriers are then oxidized by steam and/or air to generate hydrogen and/or heat in the oxidizer and/or the combustor, respectively. Previous studies have reported the performance of the iron-based oxygen carriers, the advantages of a moving bed reducer and oxidizer, and simulation of various parametric effects on the reactor design of the reducer, oxidizer, and combustor for a continuous system. In this study, a 25 kWth subpilot SCL unit was designed based on the simulated criteria and constructed to demonstrate the feasibility of generating high purity hydrogen with in situ carbon capture. Abstract: The elapsed time of a parallel job depends on the completion time of its longest running constituent. We present a static load balancing algorithm that distributes work evenly across the reducers in a MapReduce job resulting in significant elapsed time reductions.Taking a user-specified model of reducer performance, our load balancer uses a progressive objective-based cluster sampler to estimate the load associated with each reduce-key. It balances the workload using Key Chopping, to split keys with large loads into sub-keys that can be assigned to different distributive reducers, and Key Packing, to assign keys with medium loads to reducers to minimize the maximum reducer load. Keys with small loads are hashed as they have little effect on the balance. This repeats until the user specified balancing objective and confidence level are achieved.The sampler and load balancer have been implemented in the Oracle Loader for Hadoop (OLH), a commercial MapReduce application that employs Apache Hadoop to perform parallel data formatting and data movement into partitioned relational tables. We present the performance improvements we achieve in both OLH and in a MapReduce program for inverted index creation. The balancer works for arbitrary IID key distributions, the time used for sampling is small and our solution is very effective at reducing the elapsed time for the MapReduce jobs we explored.

Abstract: Advantages of planetary speed reducers are well known and due to their compact design and power density they are suitable for a wide range of applications. Efficiency is becoming more and more of a main concern in the design of power transmissions and the demand for high efficiency gearboxes is continuously increasing. For this reason it is important to have some models in order to quantify the power losses of those already during the design stage. Some theoretical or semi-empirical models that allow us to estimate losses like those of bearings, of seals, of gear meshing (due to sliding) and, for ordinary gears, those of churning are available in literature. In the case of planetary speed reducers, where the motion of the planet carrier causes a rotatory motion of the planets around the axis of the gearbox, the oil splash lubrication is an important source of losses. This report introduces a multiphase CFD model for the prediction of the churning losses characteristic of planetary gears. The analysis has been carried out by means of an unsteady Volume of Fluid (VOF) model and implemented on a commercial software (Fluent). The whole geometry of the speed reducer and many operating conditions like the rotational speed, the oil level and the operating temperature have been taken into account. Moreover the results of an experimental testing campaign on an especially designed gearbox are presented and compared with the computation ones in order to validate the model. The two approaches give results in good agreement.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reducer shell-drilling-and-tapping turnover jig, which comprises a bottom plate and supports arranged on both ends of the bottom plate. The turnover jig has the following characteristics that: a reducer shell-clamping unit is arranged between the two supports, both ends of the reducer shell-clamping unit are connected with the supports through rotary shafts, and a rotating cylinder for controlling the reducer shell-clamping unit to rotate is mounted on one of the rotary shafts. When the turnover jig is used, a reducer shell is fixed between the two supports by the reducer shell-clamping unit, and the rotating cylinder drives the reducer shell-clamping unit and the reducer shell on the reducer shell-clamping unit to rotate by 180 degrees, so that the back of the reducer shell faces upwards and can be drilled and tapped. The turnover jig is driven by cylinders to clamp and rotate the reducer shell, and does not need to be manually operated, consequently, the labor intensity of operators is reduced, and the production efficiency is increased.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for preparing concrete polycarboxylate water-reducer at normal temperature without heating or using organic solvent. The preparation method comprises the following steps that: a. unsaturated polyoxyethylene is dissolved into water, added with comonomer, molecular weight regulator and oxidant, stirred and mixed uniformly; b. reducer and the rest comonomer are dripped to be polymerized; and c. sodium hydroxide solution is added to be neutralized and cured. The polycarboxylate water-reducer of the invention adopts a radical polymerization method and takes water as the solvent. A whole synthesis process does not need heating, does not use organic solvent, saves energy and does not produce pollution. The preparation method of the concrete polycarboxylate water-reducer at normal temperature can solve the heating and the temperature control problems in the past polycarboxylate water-reducer production, reduces the use of fuel so that the polycarboxylate water-reducer becomes a real clean and environmental-firendly product, is a novel process method, can be applied to industrial production in a large scope, and brings considerable economic benefit.

The nanometer drag reducer comprises following components: 5-15% of nano-silica material modified by a silane coupling agent, 25-50% of surfactant and 40-70% of cosurfactant, wherein the surfactant is one or two kinds of an anion active agent, a cation surface active agent, a non-ionic surface active agent and an amphoteric surfactant. The nanometer drag reducer has the advantages that the nanometer drag reducer can be mixed with water in a certain proportion to form an uniform and transparent micro-emulsion, and diesel is replaced by water in the work progress, so that the construction cost is greatly lowered; the nanometer drag reducer can be firmly adsorbed on the surface of rocks so as to form a layer of strong nano hydrophobic membrane, so that the flow resistance of the formation water is effectively reduced and the water flooding effect is enhanced.

Abstract: The invention provides marine engineering self-compacting high-performance concrete, which comprises the following raw material components in part by weight: 450 to 540 parts of gel material, 1,640 to 1,725 parts of aggregate, 7 to 8 part of polycarboxylic acid water reducer and 160 to 175 parts of water, wherein the gel material, based on the total weight of the gel material, consists of 30 to 45 percent of type-II 52.5 portland cement, 20 to 40 percent of fly ash and 30 to 50 percent of slag powder. The self-compacting high-performance concrete doped with fly ash and slag has high flowability, fallibility, high passing capacity and high segregation-resistance stability. In addition, the marine engineering self-compacting high-performance concrete also has long-lasting chlorine salt corrosion resistance, high freezing resistance and high thermal performance.

The speed reducer has three stages for speed reduction. The total reduction gear ratio of a first stage speed reducing portion (10) and a second stage speed reducing portion (20) is set at 1/6 to 1/60, and a third stage speed reducing portion (30) is constructed from an eccentric oscillating-type speed reducing mechanism having an internal-geared gear body (32), external gears (34), crankshafts (35), and a carrier (37). The reduction gear ratio of the eccentric oscillating-type speed reducing mechanism is set at 1/50 to 1/140, and the total reduction gear ratio of the speed reducer is set at 1/1000 to 1/3000. A yaw drive method and the yaw drive apparatus can reduce noise, and the yaw drive apparatus is inexpensive and reduced in size.

In the invention, the polycarboxylic acid high-property water reducer material is prepared by a method of first amidation and second copolymerization, namely, taking a (methyl) acrylic monomer and methoxyl polyoxyethylene ether with the other end containing amino as reactant, preparing a polymerizable monomer by amidation reaction under the action of catalyst, then copolymerizing the polymerizable monomer with the (methyl) acrylic monomer and a chain transfer monomer in water solution under the action of initiator, and then neutralizing with alkaline solution, thus preparing the polycarboxylic acid high-property water reducer. The method is low in cost, environment-friendly and free from pollution and achieves high polymerization degree and strong controllability; by copolymerization of amidated active monomer, an amide structure is introduced into the molecular structure of polycarboxylic acid water reducer, cement can obtain good flowing property, the flowing capacity maintaining capability of neat cement paste is improved obviously, excellent cement adaptivity is shown, and excellent flowing effect can be obtained under low doping quantity and low water-ash ratio.

The invention has the advantages: a low temperature reaction in an oxidation reduction system is undergone, the method is suitable for a plurality of reaction raw material monomers, the feeding speed is not required to be controlled, extra heating is not required, stirring is not required in the reaction process, operation steps in the conventional process are greatly simplified, large-scale production is realized, and small-scale production can be conveniently performed at construction fields by using concrete at any time.

Abstract: The invention discloses a water-soluble thick oil viscosity reducer belonging to the technical field of emulsified viscosity reducers of viscous crude oil. The water-soluble thick oil viscosity reducer is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 0.01-1.0 part of surface active agent, 0.01-1.0 part of dispersant and 0.01-0.6 part of demulsifier, wherein the surface active agent is a nonionic surface active agent selected from OP-10, TX100, Span80 and Tween80, the dispersant is a water-soluble polymer material selected from polyacrylamide, polyvinyl alcohol, guar gum and cellulose, and the demulsifier is a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene segmented copolymer. The invention has good emulsifying and viscosity-reducing effects, the emulsified crude oil can be automatically demulsified to reach a dehydration rate over 95 percent, and the viscosity reducer has little consumption and low cost by adopting low-price materials.

Abstract: Reducer hyperobjects (reducers) provide a linguistic abstraction for dynamic multithreading that allows different branches of a parallel program to maintain coordinated local views of the same nonlocal variable. In this paper, we investigate how thread-local memory mapping (TLMM) can be used to improve the performance of reducers. Existing concurrency platforms that support reducer hyperobjects, such as Intel Cilk Plus and Cilk++, take a hypermap approach in which a hash table is used to map reducer objects to their local views. The overhead of the hash table is costly --- roughly 12x overhead compared to a normal L1-cache memory access on an AMD Opteron 8354. We replaced the Intel Cilk Plus runtime system with our own Cilk-M runtime system which uses TLMM to implement a reducer mechanism that supports a reducer lookup using only two memory accesses and a predictable branch, which is roughly a 3x overhead compared to an ordinary L1-cache memory access. An empirical evaluation shows that the Cilk-M memory-mapping approach is close to 4x faster than the Cilk Plus hypermap approach. Furthermore, the memory-mapping approach admits better locality than the hypermap approach during parallel execution, which allows an application using reducers to scale better.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device that reduces operation noise by preventing vibrations from being transmitted to a reducer even when the vibrations of a motor are generated due to expanding/contracting motions of a stator of the motor.SOLUTION: The motor 18 is fixed to a reducer housing 33 when a motor flange 30 is fastened to a plurality of screw holes formed in the upper part of the reducer housing 33 with attachment bolts 32. A plurality of semispherical motor flange projections 31 projecting at the motor flange 30 are disposed in a gap between the motor flange 30 and the facing reducer housing 33, and are disposed so as to overlap the reducer housing 33 while the projections are in point-contact with the circumference of the reducer housing 33, using a motor shaft 29 as a center line.

Abstract: The invention discloses an electromechanical integral middle-arranged motor driver of a small scaled electrocar, including a motor, a controller, a sensor, a gear reducer, a one-way clutch, a chain tensioner and a shell. A fixing frame is mounted a middle axis position of a lower part of the small scaled electrocar. The middle-arranged motor driver is mounted on the fixing frame through a tensioning piece. The motor is a DC rare earth permanent magnet intermediate speed interior rotor motor. A motor shaft is in parallel to a big gear shaft and the middle axis. The controller is built-in and mounted in the driver shell or on the shell. The sensor is an acceleration sensor. The gear reducer is a single-stage reducer lubricated by lubricating grease or doped with small amount of lubricating oil. The shell is made of a light alloy or engineering plastics with high-impact and high size stability and is provided with a sealing rubber plug for leading out a wire harness. The periphery of the shell part is provided with a groove and sealed by a silicon rubber to form a full-sealing waterproof structure. The driver has a ingenious and compact structure, strong motive power, good performance and high reliability.
