TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied frequency independent methods of arraying logarithmically periodic antennas so as to achieve higher gain, achieving up to 20 dB gain over an isotropic radiator.
Abstract: Previous research on logarithmically periodic structures has provided frequency independent antennas with gains comparable to that of an aperture of one square wavelength. The purpose of this research has been to study frequency independent methods of arraying logarithmically periodic antennas so as to achieve higher gain. The theory and design procedure for an array of endfire log periodic elements is described. Design data for the element unit patterns and phase centers is presented. Experimental as well as theoretical array patterns are given. Gains of the order of 15 db over an isotropic radiator have been achieved and it is felt that up to 20 db gain is feasible. An element which will be useful for an array of broadside elements is also described.

TL;DR: In this article, the mutual coupling between two cylindrical probe-fed dielectric resonator antennas was measured in both the E- and H-planes for varying separations.
Abstract: The mutual coupling between two cylindrical probe-fed dielectric resonator antennas was measured in both the E- and H-planes for varying separations. The resulting measurements were shown to verify existing theoretical predictions and indicate the applicability of these types of antennas for array applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, a conformal reflectarray antenna on the surface of a cylinder is designed for millimetre-wave applications, which can be a helpful choice for applications requiring high-gain antennas on curved platforms.
Abstract: Conformal metal reflectarray antennas on the surface of a cylinder are designed for millimetre-wave applications. All depths of metal grooves in the reflectarrays are specially manipulated for high-gain conformal reflectarray antennas. There is a good agreement between simulated and experimental radiation performance results for two different ‘sagittas’. The proposed conformal reflectarray antennas can be a helpful choice for applications requiring high-gain antennas on curved platforms.

TL;DR: In this paper, a planar beamforming antenna array is proposed that operates in the 60 GHz frequency band, consisting of 6 balanced-fed aperture-coupled patch antenna elements placed in a circular configuration.
Abstract: A planar beam-forming antenna array is proposed that operates in the 60 GHz frequency band. The array consists of 6 balanced-fed aperture-coupled patch antenna elements [2] that are placed in a circular configuration. The resulting array has a maximum gain of 14 dBi and a 3 dB scan range of ±50 degrees. To demonstrate the performance, test arrays have been implemented with accompanying feed networks that apply the appropriate phase distribution over the array for beam-forming at several specific scan angles. Measurements validate the proposed array configuration. (6 pages)

TL;DR: It is shown that the method of vector-space projections is well suited for this task and enables the recovery of reasonable antenna performance when as many as 30% of the elements are inoperable.
Abstract: We consider the problem of reconfiguring array antennas whose performance has been degraded by the failure of one or more elements. We show that the method of vector-space projections is well suited for this task and enables the recovery of reasonable antenna performance when as many as 30% of the elements are inoperable.
