TL;DR: In this article, an oscillator which can be selectively started and stopped in response to a control voltage is used to derive a voltage that is summed with the oscillator output such that the d.c. voltage level of the oscillators is the same value, both in the presence and absence of oscillations.
Abstract: An oscillator which can be selectively started and stopped in response to a control voltage. When the oscillator is stopped, the control voltage is used to derive a voltage that is summed with the oscillator output such that the d.c. voltage level of the oscillator is the same value, both in the presence and absence of oscillations.

TL;DR: In this paper, a relaxation oscillator is refined to the extent that the comparator to be used for comparing the voltage across a charge storage device with a switching threshold (V TH ) is a current comparator with two current branches.
Abstract: An oscillator arrangement is specified, in which a relaxation oscillator is refined to the extent that the comparator ( 2 ) to be used for comparing the voltage across a charge storage device ( 1 ) with a switching threshold (V TH ) is a current comparator with two current branches ( 5, 6 ). One of these two current branches is used in the present case for guiding a charging or discharging current of the charge storage device ( 1 ). In this way, a current branch is eliminated, so that the proposed principle is preferably suitable for so-called ultra low power applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, a spread-spectrum oscillator for a switched power converter is described, which includes a current waveform generation circuit, a capacitor, a switch, and a comparator.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a spread-spectrum oscillator for a switched power converter is provided. The spread-spectrum oscillator includes a current waveform generation circuit, a capacitor, a switch, and a comparator. The capacitor is arranged to receive an oscillator current to provide a ramp voltage. The comparator is arranged to compare the ramp voltage with a reference voltage to provide an oscillator voltage. Further, the switch is arranged to discharge the capacitor when the oscillator voltage is asserted. The current waveform generation is arranged to, if enabled, provide at least a portion of the oscillator current as a triangle wave, or other type of modulating waveform suitable for spread-spectrum. Accordingly, the oscillator voltage is a spread-spectrum signal.

TL;DR: A semiconductor oscillator circuit for an EEPROM high voltage charge pump utilizes a current generating means to charge a first and a second capacitor alternatively, the charging current produced by the current generating mean is inversely proportional to the ambient temperature as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A semiconductor oscillator circuit for an EEPROM high voltage charge pump utilizes a current generating means to charge a first and a second capacitor alternatively. The charging current produced by the current generating means is inversely proportional to the ambient temperature. The charging current is proportional to the supply voltage and consequently, the oscillator frequency output remains constant over a variable voltage supply. Such a constant frequency characteristic makes a low voltage operation possible, but slows down the oscillator frequency as temperature increases. The slowing of oscillator frequency limits the charge pump output voltage and enhances the lifespan of the EEPROM cells.

TL;DR: In this paper, a color synchronizing circuit comprises a phase locked loop which includes a voltage controlled oscillator including a ceramic vibrator, and the phase comparison output is applied to a low pass filter.
Abstract: A color synchronizing circuit comprises a phase locked loop which includes a voltage controlled oscillator including a ceramic vibrator. Phase comparison is made of an intermittent color burst and the output of the voltage controlled oscillator and the phase comparison output is applied to a low pass filter. The low pass filter provides a control voltage associated with the phase difference of these two signals to the voltage controlled oscillator. The frequency variable range Δf of the voltage controlled oscillator is selected such that a relation Δf<±f H is met with respect to the repetition frequency f H of the color burst. The low pass filter comprises a dual time constant circuit, which sufficiently attenuates a beat signal from the phase comparator, thereby to make narrow the pull-in range of the phase locked loop. On the other hand, a sawtooth waveform voltage of a stepwise fall is obtained from a sweeper circuit and is applied to the voltage controlled oscillator together with the output voltage from the low pass filter as a control voltage.
