TL;DR: In this paper, a pre-recorded video of a master's swing motion is stored as first frame sequences in computer memory, and target cues indicative of motion progress are associated with each first frame sequence.
Abstract: A pre-recorded video of a master's swing motion is stored as first frame sequences in computer memory. Target cues indicative of motion progress are associated with each first frame sequence. A video recording of the student performing the swing motion is stored in computer memory as second frame sequences. Reference cues indicating motion progress of the student are inserted into or associated with each student frame. The first frames are aligned with and normalized to the second frames, and then the first frames are synchronized to corresponding second frames using the target cues and the reference cues. The corresponding first and second frame pairs are superimposed, and immediately thereafter displayed to allow the student to analyze differences between his swing motion and the master's swing motion.

TL;DR: In this paper, reference frames are blocked and each block is Haar wavelet transformed, and the subbands of the wavelet transform with similar expected bit-level run-length statistics are grouped together, and each group is embedded coded using Golomb-Rice codes with a parameter look-up adaption method.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for compressing and decompressing reference frames in a video decoder present a low-complexity approach to conserving reference frame memory At the same time, this approach provides PSNR and drift-reduction performance comparable to competing methods of relatively high-complexity, allowing typical compression rates of 2:1 to 8:1 to be used with good performance In a preferred embodiment, reference frames are blocked, and each block is Haar wavelet transformed The subbands of the wavelet transform with similar expected bit-level run-length statistics are grouped together, and each group is embedded coded using Golomb-Rice codes with a parameter look-up adaption method The embedded code is stored in a compressed frame memory, indexed by block, for later retrieval and decompression when the reference block is needed by the video decoder

TL;DR: In this paper, a variable-time duration burst capture mode is considered, where the program memory stores instructions including: specifying a first frame rate; initiating an image capture sequence; storing a sequence of digital images captured at the first frame-rate in the frame buffer memory; determining whether the buffer buffer memory has been filled to a predetermined capacity; and storing a set of stored digital images that can be overwritten.
Abstract: A digital camera for having a variable time duration burst capture mode, comprising: an image sensor; an optical system; a data processing system; a frame buffer memory; and a program memory. The program memory stores instructions including: specifying a first frame rate; initiating an image capture sequence; storing a sequence of digital images captured at the first frame rate in the frame buffer memory; determining whether the frame buffer memory has been filled to a predetermined capacity. If the frame buffer memory has been filled to the predetermined capacity, the program memory further includes instructions for specifying a second frame rate, wherein the second frame rate is lower than the first frame rate; designating a set of stored digital images that can be overwritten; and storing a sequence of digital images captured at the second frame rate in the frame buffer memory, overwriting the designated set of stored digital images.

TL;DR: In this paper, an unregistered feature of the object model and an available frame from a sequence of images are selected to minimize a cost function of a subsequent search for a match of the selected model feature to the image in the selected frame.
Abstract: An object model has a plurality of features and is described by a model state. An unregistered feature of the object model, and an available frame from a sequence of images are selected to minimize a cost function of a subsequent search for a match of the selected model feature to the image in the selected frame. Upon a match, the feature is registered in that frame. The model state is then updated for each available frame. The steps of selecting, searching and updating are repeated. A video storage module may contain only one frame corresponding to a single time instance, in which case the framework used is based on integrated sequential feature selection. Alternatively, the video store may contain the entire video sequence, in which case feature selection is performed across all video frames for maximum tracking efficiency. Finally, the video store may contain a small number of previous frames plus the current frame, in which case feature selection spans only a subset of the entire video sequence for each feature matching cycle.

TL;DR: In this article, a video scrambling apparatus has a video encoder and a video scrambler, and the encoder selects a frame, which is not used as a reference frame for interframe prediction, from the input video signal, and scrambles the frame by pixel replacing in units of slices within a predetermined vertical range.
Abstract: A video scramble apparatus has a scrambler for scrambling an input video signal, and a video encoder for performing interframe predictive coding of the video signal after scrambling, and the scrambler selects a frame, which is not used as a reference frame for interframe prediction in the video encoder, from the input video signal, and scrambles the frame by pixel replacing in units of slices within a predetermined vertical range or pixel replacing in units of n consecutive macroblocks within a predetermined horizontal range.
