TL;DR: The general decomposition law for this retrial queueing system is established and the effects of various parameters on the system performance are analyzed numerically.
Abstract: This paper deals with a single server retrial queueing system with working vacation in which the server works with different service rates rather than completely terminating the service during its vacation period. We assume that both service times in a regular service period and in a working vacation period are generally distributed. The steady state distributions of the server state and the number of jobs in the orbit were obtained along with other performance measures. The general decomposition law for this retrial queueing system is established. The effects of various parameters on the system performance are also analyzed numerically.

TL;DR: A repairable M/G/1 retrial queue with general retrial times, Bernoulli vacation, setup times and two-phase service is investigated and the steady-state solutions for both queueing and reliability measures of interest are obtained.
Abstract: A repairable M/G/1 retrial queue with general retrial times, Bernoulli vacation, setup times and two-phase service is investigated in this paper. Customers are allowed to balk and renege at particular times. We assume that the customers who find the server busy or down are queued in the orbit in accordance with a first-come-first-served (FCFS) discipline. All customers demand the first "essential" service, whereas only some of them demand the second multiple “optional” service. We assume that the retrial time, the service time, the repair time, the vacation time and the setup time of the server are all arbitrarily distributed. By using the supplementary variables method, we obtain the steady-state solutions for both queueing and reliability measures of interest.

TL;DR: This paper analyses a single server batch arrival retrial queue with active breakdowns, two types of repair and second optional service (SOS); the effects of several parameters on the system are analysed numerically and reliability of the proposed model is analysed.
Abstract: This paper analyses a single server batch arrival retrial queue with active breakdowns, two types of repair and second optional service (SOS) The server provides preliminary first essential service (FES) to the primary arriving customers or customers from retrial group The server is subject to breakdowns The customer under service during the failure decides, with probability q, to join the orbit (impatient customer) and, with complementary probability 'p', to remain in the server for repair in order to conclude his remaining service (patient customer) It is considered that the repair time of server during the presence of patient customer and the repair time of the server while the customer (impatient customer) joining the orbit due to failure are different On completion of FES successfully, the customer may opt for SOS with probability α Reliability of the proposed model is analysed Some particular cases are also discussed Other performance measures are also obtained The effects of several parameters on the system are analysed numerically
