TL;DR: An unobservable retrial queueing system with complementary services is studied, in which customers are risk neutral and they have no information of the system upon arrival, but have to make the decision to join the system or not to maximize their expected benefits.

TL;DR: Analytical results for the queue length distribution as well as some performance measures of the system under steady-state condition are derived and it is shown that the general stochastic decomposition law for Mx/G/1 queue with multiple vacation models holds for the present system.
Abstract: This paper is concerned with the analysis of a single-server batch arrival retrial queue with Bernoulli service schedule and multiple vacation with general retrial times and the server being subjected to starting failures. We assume that the customers who find the server busy are queued in the orbit in accordance with an FCFS (first-come-first-served) discipline and only the customer at the head of the queue is allowed for access to the server. We first present the necessary and sufficient condition for the system to be stable and derive analytical results for the queue length distribution as well as some performance measures of the system under steady-state condition. We show that the general stochastic decomposition law for Mx/G/1 queue with multiple vacation models holds for the present system too. Some special cases are also studied.

TL;DR: This paper analyzes a discrete-time single-server retrial queue with two classes of customers, where the blocked class-1 customers left the system forever whereas the blockedclass-2 customers leave the service area and enter the orbit and try their luck again some time later.

TL;DR: A single server retrial queue with negative customers and two types of Bernoulli feedback is considered, and a necessary and sufficient condition for the system to be stable is investigated.
Abstract: A single server retrial queue with negative customers and two types of Bernoulli feedback is considered. A necessary and sufficient condition for the system to be stable is investigated. The system size probabilities at output epochs are obtained by using an embedded Markov chain. Further, the joint generating functions of queue length and server status are studied by using supplementary variables method. Some important system performance measures are derived. Busy period of the system is also discussed. Finally, extensive numerical illustrations are provided.

TL;DR: By applying the supplementary variable technique, the steady state joint distribution of the server and the number of customers in the orbit is obtained and various interesting performance measures are derived.
Abstract: In this paper, an M/G/1 retrial queue with general retrial times and Bernoulli working vacation interruption is considered. If the server is busy, an arriving customer either enters an orbit with p...
