TL;DR: In this paper, five compact millimeter-wave 90deg and 180deg distributed couplers are realized in the back-end-of-the-line of a 0.13mum SiGe BiCMOS technology.
Abstract: Five compact millimeter-wave 90deg and 180deg distributed couplers are realized in the back-end-of-the-line of a 0.13mum SiGe BiCMOS technology. Lange couplers smaller than 160 mum on a side have been implemented showing -4 dB through, -5 dB coupling, 14 dB return loss, and 15 dB isolation for 60- and 77-GHz versions. Ring hybrids with phase-inverters have been implemented showing -4 dB through, -5.6 dB coupling, 18 dB return loss, and 21 dB isolation for 60- and 77-GHz versions. The rings are smaller than 330 mum on a side

TL;DR: In this article, a compact co-planar waveguide (CPW) center-fed substrate-integrated-waveguide (SIW) slot antenna array is proposed to achieve narrow H-plane beamwidth and low sidelobe levels for automotive radars such as across-the-road (ATR) radar.
Abstract: A compact co-planar waveguide (CPW) center-fed substrate-integrated-waveguide (SIW) slot antenna array is proposed to achieve narrow H-plane beamwidth and low sidelobe levels for automotive radars such as across-the-road (ATR) radar. The antenna consists of an array of SIW slot elements, a CPW-SIW transition, and a CPW power divider. A new type of CPW-SIW transition is proposed to minimize the blockage aperture of the slot antenna array for suppressing the sidelobe levels of the array. A parallel center feeding configuration is applied to avoid beam squinting. The antenna prototype printed onto a single-layer Rogers 5880 is with 32 ×4 slot elements and an overall size of 195 mm×40 mm×0.79 mm. Measured results show that the proposed antenna exhibits a gain of > 22.8 dBi, an efficiency of > 67%, a return loss of > 10 dB, a sidelobe level of <;-21 dB, and a fixed boresight beam of <;4.6° in H-planes over 24.05-24.25 GHz, suitable for ATR radar.

TL;DR: In this article, a wideband circularly polarized (CP) dielectric resonator antenna with filtering response was proposed in this communication, which achieved an average gain of 6 dBic with a variation less than 1 dB.
Abstract: A wideband circularly polarized (CP) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with filtering response was proposed in this communication. To combine additional filtering and harmonic suppression functions within an antenna while realizing circular polarization, a new wideband filtering quadrature coupler was implemented to feed a hollow DRA. The filtering quadrature coupler was based on a snowflake shaped patch, whose operating modes can be flexibly controlled by the loading slots. Quarter wavelength coupled line sections were introduced to the coupler, realizing simultaneously wide bandwidth, excellent bandpass filtering, and wide harmonics suppression characteristics. For demonstration, a filtering CP antenna operating at 1.8 GHz was designed, fabricated, and measured. Reasonable agreement between simulated and measured results was observed. The prototype exhibited excellent bandpass filtering characteristics together with a wide overlapping bandwidth of 27.8%, within which the axial ratio value was less than 3 dB, and return loss was better than 12.4 dB. Over the same band, an average gain of 6 dBic with a variation less than 1 dB was achieved. A rejection level larger than 19 dB was found within the suppression band up to the third harmonic.

TL;DR: In this paper, a folded Wilkinson power combiner/splitter has been realized at millimeter-wave frequency with an area that is one half that of the standard two-stage Wilkinson powercombiner.
Abstract: A new folded Wilkinson power combiner/splitter has been realized at millimeter-wave frequency with an area that is one half that of the standard two-stage Wilkinson power combiner. The new splitter has an insertion loss of 5dB, an isolation of 15dB and a return loss 15dB from 15 to 45GHz.

TL;DR: In this paper geometry of the antenna and various parameters such as return loss plot, gain plot, radiation pattern plot and VSWR plot are presented & discussed and they are in good match with simulated results.
Abstract: This paper presents a low profile microstrip patch antenna for next generation 5G devices. The proposed patch antenna has a compact structure of 20mm × 20mm × 1.6mm including the ground plane, which is suitable to be used in handheld devices. The antenna resonates at 10.15 GHz covering 5G frequency band. The proposed design provides a gain of 4.46dBi and the radiation pattern is omni-directional. In this paper geometry of the antenna and various parameters such as return loss plot, gain plot, radiation pattern plot and VSWR plot are presented & discussed. Measured results are also presented and they are in good match with simulated results.
