Abstract: A ring laser gyro wherein a first and a second laser beam propagate with propagating directions different with each other comprises electrode areas on an optical waveguide configuring the ring laser and controls an current injected or a voltage applied to the electrode areas, wherein the oscillating frequencies of the first and second laser beams are different from each other, thereby causing an increase and a decrease in the beat frequency enabling to detect the direction and the speed of a rotation at the same time. With regards to a method for detecting a rotation, the anode of the laser gyro is connected to an operational amplifier. Since the signal outputted from the operational amplifier has a frequency corresponding to the angular speed, it is converted into the voltage by a frequency-voltage conversion circuit so as to detect a rotation. This same method can be used for other types of gyros such as a semiconductor laser gyro, a gas lager gyro and the like.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the structure design of semiconductor side pumping solid laser gyroscope. The gyroscope consists of mainly circular cavity reflector combination, gain medium, pumpingunit, electrooptical crystal, beam splitting plate, optical delayer and readout circuit. It features its side pumping comprising focusing and coupling lens, semiconductor laser array and temperature controller. The present invention has less heat stress, triangular circular cavity, without negative area and structure similar to that of gas laser gyroscope. It has two electrooptical crystals in the same parameters for electrooptical jetter and uses sinusoidal waves with 180 deg phase difference for modulation to reduce blocket area. The present invention has advantages of small volume, stable work and long service life, and may be used widely in inertial navigation, inertial guidance, inertial measurement and other inertial technology.

Abstract: The invention discloses a passive laser gyroscope based on an ultra-stable laser. The passive laser gyroscope comprises an ultra-stable laser source device, a high Q-value annular cavity interferometer device, and a beat frequency detecting device. An ultra-stable laser source with both short and long stability is obtained by locking the frequency of lasers output form a laser to an ultra-stable Fabry-Perot resonance peak and simultaneously locking to a femtosecond optical comb linked to an atomic frequency standard. The circumference of an annular cavity is locked to the frequency of the ultra-stable laser source injected in the counterclockwise direction. The frequency of the laser injected in the clockwise direction is locked to the same resonance peak of the cavity. The beat frequencydetecting device detects the beat frequencies of the overflow light in two directions in the cavity to obtain a Sagnac signal, and angular spin velocity is determined by the signal. According to the passive laser gyroscope based on the ultra-stable laser, the interference signal-to-noise ratio of the laser gyroscope is improved, and the stability of the scale factor of the gyroscope is improved byusing an ultra-stable laser as the injection light source of the passive laser gyroscope, so that the stability of the whole gyroscope system is improved, the integration average time is prolonged, and a better rotation measurement resolution can be obtained.

Abstract: The utility model provides a total reflection prism type laser gyroscope resonant cavity optical combination component. The total reflection prism type laser gyroscope resonant cavity optical combination component comprises a mold limiting plate and an optical combination prism, wherein the mold limiting plate and the optical combination prism are stacked on a total reflection prism in sequence with a method of optical cement. A gap is reserved between the mold limiting plate and the total reflection prism. According to the total reflection prism type laser gyroscope resonant cavity optical combination component, the optical combination component is combined by the mold limiting plate and the optical combination prism in an optical cement mode, wherein the optical combination prism can output light in a coupling mode and the optical combination component is assembled on the total reflection prism in a optical cement mode. Installation and adjustment of mold limiting and the light coupling output are achieved. Two beams of ring light are reflected in the optical combination prism and coupling output of the two beams of light is achieved. Accurate regulation and control of a resonant cavity in all temperature ranges are effectively achieved. Batch production of resonant cavities with high stability, high reliability and high consistency can be achieved.
