Abstract: The utility model discloses a dynamical lock-region measuring device of a laser gyroscope, which comprises a rotary table (1), a clamp (2) and the laser gyroscope (3), wherein the laser gyroscope (3) is internally provided with a ring-shaped light path; the normal direction of the plane where the ring-shaped light path is positioned is the direction of a gyroscope sensing axis (4); the rotary table (1) comprises a rotary table plane (5) and the axial direction of the rotary table is the normal direction of the rotary table plane; the clamp (2) is arranged on the rotary table plane (5); the laser gyroscope (3) is arranged on the clamp (2); and the gyroscope sensing axis (4) is vertical to the normal of the rotary table plane (5). Through the vertical design of the laser gyroscope sensing axis and the normal direction of the rotary table plane and ground velocity component change of the gyroscope sensing axis by using the horizontal rotation of a single-shaft rotary table, the dynamical lock-region measuring device of the laser gyroscope realizes the dynamical lock-region measurement of the laser gyroscope, thus having simple structure, convenient operation, higher precision and bigger practical application value.

Abstract: We present a simple digital processing method that provides a significant improvement for the performance of a phase-reading open-loop fibre-optic gyroscope. The phase-reading gyroscope measures the angular speed in terms of a phase difference between the two counter-propagating beams in the Sagnac interferometer. Instead of electronic phase meters we use a very simple PC-based digital process which computes the Sagnac phase. With this method we measure rotation rates down to 100°h−1. The errors of this scheme are studied for different signal-to-noise ratios and the number of bits of the analog-to-digital converter.

Abstract: A base motion isolation algorithm is proposed for a rate biased RLG (Ring Laser Gyro) north finder subjected to vehicle disturbances. A single-axis rotation modulation scheme is used. Furthermore, the angular increment of the rotation of the turn table is utilized to compute the outputs of the third virtual gyroscope, by which the north finder consist of two gyroscopes and three accelerometers are translated into a Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SINS) consist of three gyroscopes (two real and one virtual) and three accelerometers. Therefore, the north-finding problem is translated into an initial alignment problem based on a Kalman filter. The experiments results show that the new algorithm can effectively avoid the influences of vehicle disturbances. The 20min north finding accuracy of azimuth angle is better than 1′ when the weather is gusty, the vehicle is rocking and the motor is running on.

The optical path modeling and error analysis provide a theoretical basis for the design and realization of brillouin fiber optic gyroscope.
