TL;DR: In this article , an angular vibration measuring device based on four-frequency differential laser gyroscopes was presented to meet the needs of satellite in-orbit micro-angular vibration measurement.
Abstract: The micro-angle vibration of the structure caused by the satellite micro-vibration has a greater impact on the imaging of the optical imaging satellite payload camera, and it is difficult to measure in orbit. In this paper, an angular vibration measuring device based on four-frequency differential laser gyroscopes was presented to meet the needs of satellite in-orbit micro-angular vibration measurement. The gyroscope uses optical methods to overcome the lock-in effect, and there is no mechanical jitter, so the measuring device will not produce mechanical vibration interference to other satellite equipment. In order to improve the measurement accuracy, the pulse subdivision algorithm was used to reduce the quantization error of the laser gyroscopes. The high-precision satellite-time synchronization design was adopted to make the time scale of the measuring device and the load camera consistent to facilitate data use. In addition, a installation matrix calibration method was used to convert the measurement axis of the laser gyroscope and the optical axis of the load camera to the same coordinate system. Finally, the static resolution and dynamic calibration tests of the device were carried out using an angular vibration excitation platform. The results showed that the static resolution reached 0.004"(3σ), and the dynamic test performance was better than 5.69%. This device can provide accurate data reference for the satellite to improve the pointing accuracy and stability of the payload.

TL;DR: In this article, the amplitude values of an oscillatory rotating motion of activation imposed on a laser gyroscope to compensate its lack of sensitivity to slow rotating speeds are measured using a fixed ring centred on the axis of activation in the shape of wheels with flexible spokes.
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for measuring amplitude values of an oscillatory rotating motion of activation imposed on laser gyroscope to compensate its lack of sensitivity to slow rotating speeds, said oscillatory rotating motion being provided by mounting the laser gyroscope in its frame case, using fixing rings centred on the axis of activation in the shape of wheels with flexible spokes to provide a certain flexibility in rotating torque. It consists of several torque sensors (15 to 19) with piezoelectric wafer differently positioned on the spokes (in fact flexible blades (3 to 11)) of a fixing ring and whereof the output electrodes (Ea, Eb) are connected in parallel or in opposition to a common output so as to generate, in response to deformation of the spokes (3 to 11) due to the rotating movements along the activation axis, electric loads of same polarity which cumulate on the common output, and, in response to deformation of the spokes (3 to 11) derived from other movements, electric loads of opposite polarity which cancel one another on the common output, thereby enhancing the response to deformation due to rotation movements along the activation axis as compared to the response to deformation from any other source.

TL;DR: In this article, a least-mean-squares based algorithm is used to adaptively update dither stripper gains in a Dither Stripper of a ring laser gyro.
Abstract: A least-mean-squares based algorithm is used to adaptively update dither stripper gains, in a dither stripper of a ring laser gyro. The algorithm is used in conjunction with a dither estimator of the dither stripper. The dither stripper substantially reduces effects of dithering a ring laser gyro, during operation of the ring laser gyro.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a scheme that utilizes phase-shifted fiber gratings technology to proceed to annual fiber gyroscope detection, which can enhance sharpness of resonance, improve detective sensitivity and weaken parasitic interference influence.
Abstract: The paper proposes a scheme that utilizes phase-shifted fiber gratings technology to proceed to annual fiber gyroscope detection. As sharpness of resonance and polarization influences, the fineness of annual fiber gyroscope detective sensitivity gets limit. The solution method is to use the phase-shifted fiber grating to compress breathe of frequency. It can enhance sharpness of resonance, improve detective sensitivity and weaken parasitic interference influence. It is proved that phase-shifted fiber gratings play an important role to annular fiber gyroscope detective sensitivity validity and polarization weak influence. The scheme breaks a new path that enhances annual fiber gyroscope performance and predigests detective system.

TL;DR: In this article, a method of attaching at least one component (24) to a ring laser gyro block (10) is presented, where the component is placed so that a mounting surface of the at least 1 component is substantially parallel to the mounting surfaces of the ring laser.
Abstract: A method of attaching at least one component (24) to a ring laser gyro block (10). The method may include positioning the component so that a mounting surface of the at least one component (24) is substantially parallel to a mounting surface of the ring laser gyro block (10) and applying a fluid adhesive (44) to the exposed interface of the mounting surface of the at least one component and the mounting surface of the ring laser gyro block. The method also includes allowing the fluid adhesive to harden.
