05 Jan 2001TL;DR: In this paper, a node switch driving circuit controls field windings of a pulse motor to a switching sequence, driving the motor to rotation at a predetermined rotational speed, which can be recorded into and reproduced from a magnetic disk at a variable speed.
Abstract: In a recording/reproduction apparatus, when a rotational-speed-mode setting instruction is received from an I/F unit, a CPU reads out a control procedure from a storage device, controlling other components in accordance with the procedure. As a result, a node switch driving circuit controls field windings of a pulse motor to a switching sequence, driving the pulse motor to rotation at a predetermined rotational speed. Since the control is feedback control, the pulse motor rotates at the predetermined rotational speed specified by an instruction setting a rotational-speed mode with a high degree of reliability. Data can thus be recorded into and reproduced from a magnetic disk at a variable speed.

02 Dec 2002TL;DR: In this paper, a control device for a variable-geometry turbocharger which allows adjustment of the opening of the nozzle in the turbine inlet, the basic opening target value is calculated on the basis of the actual engine rotational speed and load.
Abstract: In a control device for a variable-geometry turbocharger which allows adjustment of the opening of the nozzle in the turbine inlet, the basic opening target value of the nozzle is calculated on the basis of the actual engine rotational speed and load. The final opening target value of the nozzle is then calculated by adding a nozzle opening correction value VNta to this basic opening target value. In the calculation of this nozzle opening correction value VNta, the amount of variation ΔAc in the engine load is multiplied by a correction gain calculated on the basis of the engine rotational speed and pressure ratio, and a filter processing using a specified transmission function is performed on the resulting value ΔAc1. The amount of variation in load ΔAc2 following this filter processing is used as the input value for the calculation of the nozzle opening correction value VNta.

TL;DR: In this article, the rotational speed and direction of a rotor were detected by using three wiring cables of a power source line, an earth line, and a signal line outputting a pulse signal in accordance with the rotation of the gear.
Abstract: Detecting the rotational direction of a rotor is feasible by allowing a constant current source to supply a constant current flowing from an electric potential supply line to the earth in response to a turning-on action of a switch. Accordingly, detecting both the rotational speed and the rotational direction of the rotor is feasible by using three wiring cables of a power source line, an earth line, and a signal line outputting a pulse signal in accordance with the rotation of the gear. Using such a one-stage voltage adjustment enables the detection signal processing circuit to reduce electric power consumption compared with a system requiring a two-stage voltage adjustment.

TL;DR: In this paper, a hydraulically propelled vehicle has a vehicle body with a pair of forward wheels and two rearward wheels, and a single fluid displacement pump is operatively connected to each wheel.
Abstract: A hydraulically propelled vehicle has a vehicle body with a pair of forward wheels and a pair of rearward wheels. A single fluid displacement pump is operatively connected to each wheel. A fluid displacement motor is connected to each wheel. The pump is fluidly connected to each motor. A steering angle sensor is located adjacent each wheel to sense the angular position of each wheel. The speed sensor is on each motor to measure its rotational speed output. A fluid displacement actuator is on each motor to set the fluid displacement thereof. A fluid displacement computer controller is operatively connected by electronic impulse to the speed sensors. The fluid displacement actuators and the steering angle sensors are operatively connected to the controller so that the controller can obtain information therefrom to calculate the expected speeds for the motors. A circuit on the controller compares the actual speed of the motors with the calculated speed thereof so the controller can cause the fluid displacement to be reduced on any motor that exceeds the calculated speed.
