TL;DR: In this article, a Savonius wind turbine is installed at the edge of an accommodation section structure so that a shaft body is parallel with the edge, and streamlines of wind directing from a bow to the front surface are changed toward a side surface.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately suggest wind pressure resistance during sailing and furthermore improve save energy for a ship in a relatively simple facility and work, by providing a savonius wind turbine at the edge of the front surface so that the edge is parallel with a rotation shaft. SOLUTION: Since a savonius wind turbine 5 is provided at the edge of the front surface 1 of an accommodation section structure so that a shaft body is parallel with the edge, streamlines of wind directing from a bow to the front surface 1 are changed toward a side surface 2. While, in a conventional accommodation section, flows of wind received on the front part break away from the surface of the side surface at a front surface position and generate vortex to provide resistance, in the accommodation section structure on which the savonius wind turbine 5 is installed, flows of wind forward rotates the wind turbine 5, flows out of the wind mill are attracted to the side surface 2 side of the accommodation section to reduce break-away region, weakening of vortex flowing on the surface of the side surface 2 can reduce wind resistance, energy of the shipping is furthermore saved, and sea margin can be reduced.
