Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent composite material from invading a clearance changing with expansion operation of the screed device of an asphalt finisher and secure flatness of a pavement face. SOLUTION: In this spreading leveling material invasion prevention device, a clearance adjustment mechanism 21 is provided between a main screed side cover 14 and an expansion part screed deflector 12. The clearance adjustment mechanism 21 is provided for preventing invasion of asphalt composite material into the inside from a clearance 22 widened and changed with movement of a widenner composite material gate during expansion operation of a screed device. A support plate 23 is fixed to the main screed side cover 14, and a regular cover plate 24 is rotatably attached to the support plate 23 by a shaft 25. The cover plate 24 is urged clockwise by a pair of torsion coil springs 26, 27 fitted to the shaft 25 and abutted on the widenner composite material gate 13. When the clearance 22 is widened by expansion movement of the widenner composite material gate 13, the cover plate 24 is rotated clockwise and invasion of the composite material is prevented.
