Linear heating device for screed of asphalt spreader

Abstract: The utility model belongs to pavement engineering machines and relates to an asphalt spreader structure, in particular to a linear heater for the ironing plate of an asphalt spreader. The linear heater includes a combustion chamber positioned over the ironing plate of the asphalt spreader, and a fuel gas nozzle, which is arranged in the combustion chamber, is in a linear shape and is arranged along the width direction of the ironing plate. Because of applying the linear fuel gas nozzle, the linear heater can heat the whole ironing plate at the same time, so the temperature of the ironing plate can be quickly raised, heating is uniform, and meanwhile, heat loss and fuel gas loss can be reduced.

Abstract: Disclosed are tools for use in the building construction industry to apply coatings to surfaces. A trowel is disclosed for shaping a wet coating mixture on a surface. The trowel includes channels in the trowel head. Each channel forms a crest in the wet coating mixture in response to the trowel being passed over the wet coating mixture. Also disclosed is a tool for leveling a coating on a surface. The tool includes a screed bar, a screed bar coupling device, and a handle. The one or more than one screed bar coupling device removeably couples the screed bar to a substrate that includes the surface that the coating is to be applied to. The screed bar provides a level screed reference for the wet coating mixture. After the wet coating mixture is leveled, the screed bar is removed from the substrate.

The system includes a laser beam leveling system consisting of a laser transmitter mounted on the hand screed and a laser beam receiver target mounted on the hand float. The hand screed further includes an inclinometer mounted on top of the hand screed for maintaining the angle of the screed when the screed is used on sloped surfaces. Bubble levelers positioned on top of the hand screed and the hand float are used to maintain the hand screed and the hand float in a level position.

Abstract: Apparatus for sensing twisting of a screed of a paving machine, the paving machine having a control system for changing the angle of attack of of each end of the screed relative to a road surface. The twist-sensing apparatus includes a sensor adapted to be mounted on the screed for sensing twist in the screed, the sensor comprising a signal generator for generating a signal in response to the screed twisting from a predetermined twist angle, this signal being adapted to effect energization of the control system for changing the angle of attack of one end of the screed thereby to restore the screed to its predetermined twist angle. The signal generator is rigidly secured to and is movable with the screed at a first location on the screed. The sensor further comprises a twist reference arm rigidly secured to and movable with the screed at a second location on the screed angularly displaced from the first location. The twist reference arm extends obliquely relative to the screed between the first and second locations, and is operatively connected to the signal generator, whereby a change in screed twist causes relative movement between the signal generator and the twist reference arm and thus generates a signal upon the twist angle of the screed deviating from its predetermined twist angle.
