TL;DR: In this article, a rotatable auger and vibratory screed are used for spreading, grading, consolidating and smoothing loose or plastic material such as poured, uncured concrete.
Abstract: A screeding assembly and method is disclosed for spreading, grading, consolidating and smoothing loose or plastic material such as poured, uncured concrete when the assembly moved over an area of the material. The assembly includes a rotatable auger to move the material laterally across the path of travel, a vibratory screed positioned behind the auger to smooth and finish the material, and an elongated engaging member reciprocated laterally across the path at a position between the auger and vibratory screed to facilitate consolidation of the material. Preferably, a plow/striker is positioned in front of the auger to and remove excess material. The assembly may be mounted on a self-propelled vehicle or other support on a boom for moving the assembly over the material, and is preferably controlled by a laser beam responsive elevation control. A kit for attaching the reciprocating engaging member to an existing screed assembly is also provided.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method to improve not only quality but also reduce vibration and noise generated by construction, while a thickness smaller than that in a conventional floor slab upper-surface thickness increasing construction method.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve not only quality by enhancing the durability of a floor slab but also reducing vibration and noise generated by construction, while a thickness is smaller than that in a conventional floor slab upper-surface thickness increasing construction method. SOLUTION: The surface of an existing floor slab 1 used for a bridge and a superhighway is ground, polished and cleaned, and soft concrete 2 of a slump of 10 cm or larger is placed for covering the surface of the ground, polished and cleaned floor slab 1, and the soft concrete 2 is compacted and integrated into the existing floor slab 1 by imparting high frequency vibration to a screed plate 12 of a concrete finishing device 10. The soft concrete 2 includes water, a hydraulic setting composition, an aggregate, an expansive admixture and fiber. The hydraulic setting composition uses a material for revealing a compressive strength of 10 N/mm 2 or higher in 2-3 hours after construction as a hardening speed of the soft concrete 2. TL;DR: In this paper, an apparatus and system for screeding a three dimensional panel including a screed clip for securing a guide bar to the panel for screwing a cementitious coating to a substantially uniform finish and level.
Abstract: Disclosed is both an apparatus and system for screeding a three dimensional panel including a screed clip for securing a guide bar to the panel for screeding a cementitious coating to a substantially uniform finish and level. The clips are used in combination and in series to support a guide bar. The clips are attached to the wire grid mats of a three dimensional panel to enable a less than skilled laborer to finish a cementitious coating applied to the panel.

TL;DR: In this paper, the thickness of a road surface is calculated by measuring a first coordinate in a prescribed portion of a screed, and a second coordinate before pavement at a place apart therefrom by a prescribed distance, so as to be subjected to arithmetic processing.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily calculate the thicknesses of pavement of a road surface by measuring a first coordinate in a prescribed portion of a screed, and a second coordinate of a road surface before pavement at a place apart therefrom by a prescribed distance, so as to be subjected to arithmetic processing. CONSTITUTION:A first coordinate in a prescribed portion of a screed 3 in an absolute coordinate system is measured by a first measuring system. Next, a second coordinate of a road surface 5 before pavement in the absolute coordinate at a place apart from the prescribed portion by a prescribed distance is measured by a second measuring system. Then, on the basis of the measured results of the first and second measuring systems, the first and second coordinates are calculated by an arithmetic unit 14, and the values are displayed in time-series on a display unit 13. Thus, the measured results of the undulation of a road surface, the undulation of pavement, and the thicknesses of pavement can be simultaneously displayed, so that the determination of the amount of operation for maintaining the flatness of a pavement surface 6 can be easily carried out.

TL;DR: In this paper, a process for manufacturing a composition of cement made of waste or virgin materials of various kind, adapted to be used with the function of material having good thermal conductivity, particularly in the building industry, as self-levelling screed for covering the heating panels to be applied on to the floors of traditional type.
Abstract: Process for manufacturing a composition of cement made of waste or virgin materials of various kind, adapted to be used with the function of material having good thermal conductivity, particularly in the building industry, as self-levelling screed for covering the heating panels to be applied on to the floors of traditional type. Process utilizing component materials from which the metallic materials have been eliminated, and the aluminium has been eliminated or reduced up to a percentage lower than 1% by weight, by means of a specific de-aluminizing process. Also a composition of cement obtained with such manufacturing process is described.
