Abstract: A gripper clamp is provided for facilitating the handling of screeds used in the rough levelling of concrete. The screeds are usually two by fours or two by sixes and are held by workmen at opposite ends. The handling of such screeds is simplified by the use of a gripping tool including a first handle having right angularly extending jaws to engage one side of the screed and a relatively movable handle pivotal relative to the first and having a jaw end engageable with the side of the screed engaged by the first-named jaws.

Abstract: The utility model provides a paver screed plate device and a paver, wherein the paver screed plate device comprises a basic screed plate, a first lengthening screed plate and a second lengthening screed plate which are spliced in sequence, and also comprises a support rod bracket, a first strengthening support rod and a second strengthening support rod, wherein the support rod bracket is pivoted with the first lengthening screed plate, the first strengthening support rod comprises a first end and a second end, the first end of the first strengthening support rod is pivoted with the basic screed plate, the second end of the first strengthening support rod is pivoted with the support rod bracket, the second strengthening support rod comprises a first end and a second end, the first end of the second strengthening support rod is pivoted to the support rod bracket, and the second end of the second strengthening support rod is pivoted with the second lengthening screed plate. According to the paver, the paver screed plate device is arranged. In the utility model, adopting the technical scheme, the effect of improving the whole rigidity of paver screed plates is achieved.

Abstract: This paper discusses the concept of “monitoring” moisture content (MC) as a surveying aid in connection with appraisal of buildings and when assessing the drying out of buildings, for example, after flooding damage. It also presents the findings of testing of various instruments to record the drying out of brick, timber and cement screed specimens. Conclusions are drawn on the most appropriate methods for the surveyor to use when monitoring the MC of construction materials.

Abstract: An experimental research on a paver prototype shows that the maximal vibration amplitude along the screed length is almost two times greater than the minimal.In order to decrease the amplitude difference in screed,the screed was thought as a flexible body and a coupled rigid and flexible model for compacting system of asphalt concrete paver was established.The mass of tampers and the product of mass and eccentric distance of the eccentric shaft were selected as optimization parameters,and the minimal amplitude difference in screed was taken as the target.A functional expression with respect to the target and the optimization parameters was built through response surface method based on orthogonal design and numerical calculation.The optimization results show that the amplitude difference in screed decreases by 83% after optimization and the nonuniformity of amplitude in asphalt paver screed is improved effectively.
