TL;DR: In this paper, systems and methods are provided for providing demand-based provisioning for a mobile communication device, where a provisioning server may be used to receive a service update request from the mobile communication devices and in response to the provisioning update request transmit a data message to the mobile device.
Abstract: In accordance with the teachings described herein, systems and methods are provided for providing demand-based provisioning for a mobile communication device A provisioning server may be used to receive a provisioning update request from the mobile communication device and in response to the provisioning update request transmit a service update data message to the mobile communication device The service update data message may include service information for the mobile communication device that is received by the provisioning server from at least one of a plurality of service providers The mobile communication device may be operable to detect a triggering event and transmit the provisioning update request to the provisioning server in response to the triggering event

TL;DR: In this article, a system and method of the present invention increases efficiencies and reduces costs to all parties by partnering the developers with third parties who are brought in at the beginning of development, so that the work can be done around the clock by using people all over the globe, and the costs can be reduced by directing work to people in countries with lower labor rates.
Abstract: Developing Internet-hosted business applications composed of web services and software for use in such environments where applications and application components interoperate to perform requested business functions. The invention utilize a software development application services provider module (DASP), an Instantiatior module, a Builder module, an Applications Service Provider (ASP) Infrastructure Platform (AIP) module, and a hosted production environment module. Developers and testers situated in diverse locations so that a larger pool of skilled people can be employed, the work can be done around the clock by using people all over the globe, and the costs can be reduced by directing work to people in countries with lower labor rates. The system and method of the present invention increases efficiencies and reduces costs to all parties by partnering the developers with third parties who are brought in at the beginning of development.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to investigate if any generalization in importance of service quality dimensions is possible, and the authors found that generalization of quality dimensions was not possible among all types of services, however important insights were available pertaining to each service type.
Abstract: – The study was undertaken with a purpose to investigate if any generalization in importance of service quality dimensions is possible. Service providers are often not sure of the amount of tangibilisation necessary and the right mix of other service quality dimensions – reliability, assurance, empathy, responsiveness, and the role of price‐added by researcher., – A two stage analysis was deployed. First free listing of important service quality concerns for 16 services across the four service types (as suggested by Lovelock) was done to see if any rank correlation was possible. This was followed by two‐step cluster analysis to reveal natural grouping (or clusters) within a data set for each service quality dimension that would otherwise not be apparent., – Generalization of quality dimensions was not possible among all types of services taken together, however important insights were available pertaining to each service type., – Some generalizations within the service types were possible for different services. Thus, service providers can consider these finding when designing service delivery., – Considering the two important dimensions – tangibility of service act and whether such an action is targeted at the customer or their possessions, the paper details what service quality issues are important for which service type.

TL;DR: The VEC architecture, coupled with the concept of the smart vehicle, its services, communication, and applications are illustrated and new directions in the field of VEC are given to the other researchers.
Abstract: A new networking paradigm, Vehicular Edge Computing (VEC), has been introduced in recent years to the vehicular network to augment its computing capacity. The ultimate challenge to fulfill the requirements of both communication and computation is increasingly prominent, with the advent of ever-growing modern vehicular applications. With the breakthrough of VEC, service providers directly host services in close proximity to smart vehicles for reducing latency and improving quality of service (QoS). This paper illustrates the VEC architecture, coupled with the concept of the smart vehicle, its services, communication, and applications. Moreover, we categorized all the technical issues in the VEC architecture and reviewed all the relevant and latest solutions. We also shed some light and pinpoint future research challenges. This article not only enables naive readers to get a better understanding of this latest research field but also gives new directions in the field of VEC to the other researchers.

TL;DR: In this research, the service level agreements for a service composition are established through autonomous agent negotiation and an innovative framework is proposed in which the service consumer is represented by a set of agents who negotiate quality of service constraints with the service providers for various services in the composition.
