Abstract: The invention relates to a balance shaft shell, a balance shaft assembly and an engine. The balance shaft shell comprises a shell body (1) used for supporting a balance shaft (2) in a rotating manner.An engine oil pump (3) is integrated at the front end, arranged in the axial direction of the balance shaft (2), of the shell body (1). The shell body (1) is provided with a lubricating oil channel (4). The lubricating oil channel (4) comprises an oil input channel (41) used for communicating with an oil cavity (33) of the engine oil pump (3), and an oil supply channel (42) used for supplying oilto the shaft neck of the balance shaft (2). The oil input channel (41) and the oil supply channel (42) communicate mutually. The balance shaft shell integrated with the engine oil pump enables the structure of an engine to be more compact, the space size of the engine is reduced, then the whole vehicle can be arranged conveniently, and the engine oil pump can be utilized for supplying the oil tothe balance shaft.

Abstract: L aminar flow of a couple-stress fluid in contact with a Newtonian fluid in a channel bounded by permeable beds has been studied. The flow in the permeable beds is governed by Darcy’s law. The expressions for the velocity and temperature fields are obtained. The effects of flow parameters on the velocity and temperature are discussed in detail through graphs. It is observed that the velocity and temperature are increases with increasing Darcy number and Couple stress parameter.
